This place is magical. The best park Iāve been to this year.
The pathways are well-labeled with clear and clearly followed protocol for bikers, walkers, and dog walkers. There is a museum, a little waterfall, tons of food after and greenery, open spaces to play or picnic (which I saw happening), fishing, boatingā¦it was alive with people respectingfully embracing the space together.
Every dog I passed was leashed. People were cleaning up after their pets. Bikers who passed did so gracefully without plowing over walkers (or me with a walker), and it just felt so pleasant all around.
Definitely a good number of mosquitos but thatās likely due to the amount of river and shade (which is a relief on a hot day).
Plenty of parking, and you can choose a paved or unpaved path, so itās great for walkers and rollers of all stripes!
There are even lovely bridges to sit and think or just rest and listen to birds, and, maybe coolest of all, a bike repair shop with tools and air...

Great signage indicating historical areas and monuments, plus they had an āactivity pop-upā for kids when I visited. Many little fish in the stream, and itās very quiet, even with some cars passing by above. I also saw chipmunks, squirrels, woodpeckers and other small animals around. I wish I had my bike to see the whole path! Highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis area is beautiful and there's lots to see during all seasons. Wildlife is plenty and the views of the river are spectacular especially after heavy rainfall. Plenty of parking along the way. Easy to take a leisurely stroll, a nice jog, or a good bicycle workout. Plenty of shade at spots and benches along the way to rest. Many people walk their dogs there as well, but they must be leashed. Definitely a nice area to visit and you will want to...
