Working farm in Lincoln. Went with a small group on a farm walk with Jess who is the educator there. Sophie and Portia are dogs that are specifically guarding the chickens against coyote and such. We learned as much as we could about sustainable farming, tasted maple syrup as it was being made, got our eggs from the laying hens then cooked them on the farm's induction griddle. Sprigs of micronutrients from the greenhouse, some sun dried tomato, goat cheese and warm bread, great coffee and it was a fabulous brunch on the farm. Then went shopping at the farm store that is open 24/7, 365. Honor systemish. Self checkout. Takes credit card, SNAP, etc. Just make sure if it is 3am whatever you get doesn't have torn barcode. Amazing experience. Plan to bring pumpkins from Halloween and Thanksgiving for the pumpkin smash. Pigs love it, kids love it....

The gardens were pretty, and that was the only enjoyable part. If you're looking for locally raised meat, I highly recommend Blood Farm in Groton. Significantly more to choose from, and about...

Two days later, I found exact same ginger from Old Friends Farm at Whole Foods Market priced at $9.99/Lb. To my surprise, your price was outrageously high. As a community farm and non- profit organization, I don't think that is a right practice to do business. Only for-profit entity will...
