Our family is so grateful to have found Meghan and Lincoln Dog Training. From the very first session in our home, Meghan connected instantly with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy. She listened to our concerns and goals and came up with a clear plan. Within a day she sent us a wonderful welcome packet complete with training plans, links to videos and treats/toy recommendations. We now work with her on a weekly basis and can already see the positive results of her training plans. Cavaliers are known for being sweet but sometimes a little stubborn, and Meghan knows exactly how to work with that gentle temperament while still setting firm, clear boundaries.

Meghan is helping us with everything from basic commands, potty training, leash walks, crate training and separation for when we have to leave the house—and always with positive reinforcement and lots of patience. Overall, Meghan is just a delight to be around and our family really enjoys each session.

What really stands out is Meghan’s ability to tailor the training to our puppy’s specific needs and her willingness to work in our environment. Meghan goes above and beyond and continues to give us tons of helpful tips and homework between sessions that are clear and easy to follow. Meghan Lytton, owner of Lincoln Dog Training, is a dog trainer extraordinaire! Prior to working with Meghan, our mini Australian shepherd was nearly perfect in every way except one: she was poorly responsive when we called her while on walks, and she frequently ran off and went missing for hours at a time. Suffice it to say that that behavior was both highly stressful and nerve-wracking.

So we engaged Meghan's services to help us improve our doggie's recall. Meghan thoroughly assessed our dog's personality and behavior (as well as our own) and customized a training program that has made all the difference in the world.

was at my wits' end with Petey, shihpoo age 3 years, 33 lbs, pulling us on leash and BARKING at every other dog. Meghan at Lincoln Dog Training has a calm, positive energy, and appreciated Petey's focus and energies....I learned how to use positive YES language to reward him verbally for spotting another dog, and leading him back a step or two, then rewarding him for a quiet interaction. We practiced many times in the hour with great realistic stuffed animal dogs, and Petey showed HUGE improvement.
