Twisted Tree Cafe — Restaurant in Lincoln

I wasn't a big fan of this place. I ordered the chicado sandwich on ciabatta: Grilled chicken, bacon, avocado, tomato, lettuce and house-made aioli. The sandwich seemed to just have been thrown together for of haphazardly as upon unwrapping it, it instantly fell apart. It was so incredibly messy that I had to reassemble it and there was mashed avocado and aioli everywhere. As messy as the sandwich was, it still tasted incredibly dry. The chicken breast was tough, dried out, and unseasoned. Someone else in my group had a chicken bacon ranch sandwich and alas mentioned how bland and dry the chicken was.

I wanted to try something different for my drink. They had a specialty drink which was a strawberry matcha. I overheard the girl all how much strawberry to put in the drink so and at that moment I realized it would be a strawberry powder and not actual strawberries blended into the drink or even a sweetened strawberry syrup. The guy working there answered "2 tablespoons". The drink I received was a completely green drink which was slightly chalky, bitter, and had a sediment of dark green sludge in the bottom of the cup. As for the strawberry, there was barely the slightest hint of the idea of strawberry flavoring.

Clean & comfy place... Weren’t for covid I wouldn’t love to hang and have some coffee. Very inviting and spotless clean atmosphere. No coffee shop around in 5 miles I would say, this was the closest place I found when I was in the area. Friendly staff. Three things I would point out though: 1 - It only opens at 8 am, which I think its kind of late for a coffee shop; 2 - The small coffee is way too small... I had a cafe latte and much of it was foam. Which brings me to my 3rd point; 3 - Kind of pricey

All that said I'm curious about the rest of the menu though, it seems full of good options, I would've had a sandwich or something if I wasn't kind of in a hurry, I will definitely come back whenever I'm...

Ok food but a bit pricey and not the best experience. Unfortunately they got my order wrong and had to remake it - I asked for no cheese on my sandwich, the receipt said no cheese, but I still got a sandwich with cheese. Mgmt also informed me that their scrambled eggs contain milk (something not disclosed on the menu) and that I "should have told them I had a dairy allergy"... uh, ok, maybe don't mess up the order next time? And disclose allergens on your menu?

The smoothie I got was also not great, quite watery as far as smoothies go.
