The mill was pretty decent. The other buildings on the other side of the street were fairly decent as I have seen pretty much the exact same thing in a number of other areas. $10 per head I guess is reasonable yet for myself personally I wouldn't have paid that and shouldn't have paid that. The Mill part was the most interesting part as I have been in other Mills which were pretty cool too. It would be nice to see the actual river part restored and the mill running something or at least just turning the wheel. Across the street I would have loved to have the well pump working. I don't know what your water level is yet it shouldn't cost you too much to have somebody come out and actually put in a working hand pump. It would be...

One of the most affordable museums in the state. And well worth the stop. Unfortunately this came at the end of our family vacation as we were all about Maxed out on Museums. But I was still very interested in seeing all the parts of the mill. It was also very interesting seeing what seems to be the up and coming part of the museum regarding the Swedish heritage in the area. I do not have a lick of Swede blood running though my veins but my wife is half Swedish. So it was a please to take her and out sons...

Worth a stop if you are in Lindsborg. The museum is interesting about wheat production and the immigrants from Sweden and Russia.

Need maybe 20-30 for the Museum part before the Mill , even if you read a lot fo the information.

Then there is The Mill itself. Really neat. The restoration is magnificent. They have done a great job. We.spent about 30 minutes in the Mill. Don't need to spend that much time, but the detail on the machinery and the restoration is real good.

Interesting...

Wow! We have visited many mills. This roller mill was the most complete we've seen. Machinery was well identified with explanations of each's function. Bolters, middlings, fans, augers, dusters! Wish we could return the first weekend in May when the mill is operating! Staff were friendly and helpful. Additional buildings were across from the mill. A bonus was the museum section about the Mennonite and Swedish immigrants settling the Lindsborg, KS, area.
