I had never been to lindsborg before, and I was with a group of people m. I went into the bathroom and when I came back out of the bathroom the people I was with just left my stuff in the parking lot and took off without me. At 1 am. In a town I’ve never been to before, with no ride home and with a half dead phone in the cold while I wore nothing but a crop top and ripped jeans. I was freezing and in shock as to what just happened, trying to get ahold of them with no answer. They just abandoned me at some random bar in a town I’ve never even been to before and where I knew no one. I sat there in the parking lot and cried. Then I heard someone walking up, and she asked me if I was okay. I told her what had happened and she had me come inside and sat with me while I cried. She made sure I was okay and got me some water and popcorn. Turns out the girl who found me outside was a part of the waiting staff, and the other members of the staff also sat there and talked to me and helped comfort me till I found someone to come and get me. It was 2 am and they had to close but thankfully my ride showed up just as they had to lock the doors. But they let me inside where it was warm and listened to me and did everything they possibly could to help me in every way. Absolutely wonderful people. They actually knew the people who had left me there also. But the staff were so incredibly caring and literally that was one of the biggest acts of kindness I’ve ever been shown by anyone. Those three were absolutely the sweetest most kind souls I’ve ever met. Literally the most amazing people I’ve ever met. Will definitely have to go back sometime and stop in and get dinner and say thank you to them. They really touched my heart. That was amazing. Thank you guys so much. It meant the absolute...

For decades the stuga has been the mini kingdom of my button hole cousin Mark Lysell. Essentially, the stuga and mark are one. A towering hulk of a man, mark is truly a pillar of the community. He has been on the sideline chain gang for the Bethany college football team, the Swedes, for 40 years. The annual ol stuga golf tournament is invitation only, and is a benefit for local causes. Mark and his adorable daughters organize the entire event with the help of loyal volunteers. Every year invitations are sent to celebrities, sports legends and other famous people. The best of the "sorry, I'm flattered, but not coming" letters are framed and proudly displayed around the stuga. The decor is full on weapons grade kitsch, beer logo schwag, sports memorabilia, bronco paraphernalia, Kansas lotto advertising and loads of pictures of the stuga "family". Surprisingly, the food is very good, limited menu, but the " kitchen " is literally just 80 square feet. Mark buys most of the days supplies daily at the local market, and makes your sandwich to order. If you are there for the lunch "rush" you'll probably be introduced to local patrons who have been coming to Mark's sandwich bar for decades. Treat yourself to a day of main street America that has stood the test of time, downtown Lindsborg, Kansas, America. Besides the stuga, there is an art museum, a chess institute, old fashioned barber shop and a dala horse factory. Swedish Americans order their traditional foods from Scott's market, another Lindsborg institution that has remained in spite of the big boxification of the world. I hope you spend some quality time in the Stuga, tell Mark , Craig sent you, and enjoy the bellowing laugh that...

10/5/2025 731 pm we decided lets try this place . We walked in guy close to the bathrooms said sit anywhere . We sat down waited a couple of minutes and the girlfirend said she needed to use the restroom. She came back sat down . I looked over at the bar one guy in the corner was making sandwiches . The second close the bathrooms was talking to a customer never served any drinks the whole time i watched him. The person sitting at the table next to us got up to talk to the guy at the end of the bar by the restrooms. They talked then the guy behind the bar decided to grab the televison remote and started scrolling through the channels . Not once were we approached for drinks or menu . We got up and left and as we were leaving the guy making sandwiches said as i grabbed the door to leave "sorry about that" and i replied ya me too. Wow first time visit and you lost a customer for good. Were in lindsborg quite often 2-3 times a week . Glad buisness is that good you didnt need ours . I think some the other reviews are correct if you're not a local dont grace...

A friend tipped me off to the "Trust Me" sandwich. It's not on the menu and I'm not 100% sure what was on it, or if it's the same thing every time you order it, but it was amazing! I believe mine had corned beef, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, jalapenos, etc The cook confirmed that I liked spicy food before he started making mine. The only thing holding me back from rating this five stars is that the bar was smokey from the kitchen, but I would absolutely come back here again if I make my way back to Lindsburg, KS "Little Sweden."

Ol Stuga is a fantastic bar with a relaxed atmosphere and very reasonably priced. The food hit the spot and I can fully recommend the Brent Nelson Sandwich and mini corn dogs. If we are ever passing through Lindsborg again this will be our go to place. The outside area is a great sun trap in the afternoon to enjoy a couple of cold ones, there is also plenty of shade.

For sure not super Swedish, but the German sausage, and the Brent Nelson sandwiches were quite tasty as was the very reasonably priced beer. They have outdoor seating on the side, and we could bring our dog through the pub to the outdoor area. I would definitely eat here again.
