V's Barbershop — Attraction in Little Rock

If i could give a zero star review i would. horrible atmosphere here. the people are pushy and completely rude. instead of trying to make someone comfortable with something as important as their hair, they peer pressure you and make you uncomfortable until you get the hair they suggest not the hair you want. literally RUINED my friends hair. he spent almost a year growing out long hair that he just wanted to frame his face and get out of his eyes and they CUT OFF THE ENTIRE BACK AND LEFT THE FRONT LONG??? how can you do that when someone expresses they want to keep length and get it out of their eyes? complete incompetency. they even tried to take a buzzer to his facial hair without his permission and he declined. a customer service job like cutting hair is all about listening and making your customers happy and confident with what you give them, instead these guys just take the wheel and do whatever they want with no regards to how you feel. i understand it’s a barber shop and not a salon, but if you can’t do anything other than short men’s hair cuts, don’t lie and pressure someone into a hair cut THEY DONT WANT. now instead of a positive experience my friend is completely heart broken. so yeah if you want to go in with months worth of hair and effort and get it chopped off against your OWN better judgement, go ahead! otherwise i’d start with suggesting anywhere else. very honestly...

Laura Summers is as consistent as they come in her profession. Even "professionals" can have a bad or off day. Not so with Laura...she's always on point....always engaging...a superb conversationalist...and does all the right extra things that make your visit with here a consistent pleasure. If Laura were to leave V's , I would follow her to wherever her new posting would be. Its hard to find the right somebody who understands your hair and deliver a righteous cut each and every time. Laura is such the keeper....

Pt2. Saw Laura on Halloween day and her costume was a hoot. Shes an awesome barber with an even more awesome personality. Both of those things together assure your gonna have a great cut and a great experience....nuff said.

UPDATE: Laura Summers is still as awesome and professional as the rest of the world should be. She is an awesomely talented stylist and a credit to V's outstanding franchise !!!

We've gone to Laura at the Little Rock Cantrell location since my 6th grade son was in 2nd grade! With Covid we kind of let his hair grow a while, and then we moved about 45 minutes away so we tried another place, but had a horrible experience. He's been unhappy with his hair for a while! We decided it was more than worth it to drive a little ways to be able to know that we'll be happy with what he gets. Laura is always super fast (because she knows what she's doing not because she's in a hurry), professional, doesn't make my son feel like a "little kid" while also nonchalantly turning the TV station to something more tailored to his age group. She gives him/us suggestions and directions on styles and products without 'selling,' and overall, we are just really, truly always so happy with her! Especially now that my son is in middle school and is self conscious of his hair... I haven't seen him this happy/confident in probably 2 years, and that's not an exaggeration!...
