Coming all the way from CALIFORNIA this Ice Cream was 100% WORTH IT. I was visiting my Auntie Jo who lives in Hyde Park Utah & she definitely told me that we HAD to come to AGGIES for the BEST Ice Cream experience of my life‼️.. California has alot of Ice Cream Hot spots so to speak. Most notably in Los Angeles & up & down the State. In Bakersfield where I live we have Dewars Ice Cream which has been here since 1909 & are famous for their Home made Candies & Ice Cream which are delicious. I gotta say AGGIES is pretty well up there at the TOP alone when it comes to unique FLAVORS you won't find anywhere else. Blue mint & some Space Titled ice cream with white chocolate chunks & chocolate were AMAZING. SIMPLE Birthday 🎂 Cake ice cream was smooth & creamy & seriously tasted like cake 😳‼️The sherbert ice creams were fantastic as well. A peach 🍑 Cobbler as well was delicious. I heard we got extremely LUCKY because there was only 5 people in line in front of us when I hear that the line can be out the door & around the corner‼️Maybe everyone was at Bear Lake for Labor Day who knows? But we ENJOYED EVERYTHING about this place. Aggies is DEFINITELY one of the BEST places I have ever had unique ice cream. Thats saying alot because there are TONS of specialty Ice Cream parlors in California & even Las Vegas. What AGGIES has over them is just the one of a kind delicious creamy awesome flavors & experience of being a Utah State exclusive. Every local I talked to from Lee's Grocery store to Home Depot to Walmart employees ALL said "Aggies is the BEST ICE CREAM"& don't leave without trying it. Plus my Auntie said she was not gonna let me go back to California without experiencing & eating some of this AMAZING ICE CREAM. The staff was super fast & friendly & answered every question I had. When you ask "What should I try?" & they respond that everything is great here.. you know your gonna have a great ICE cream experience 😋.. AGGIES did not disappoint me. They LIVED up to the HYPE. I truly enjoyed it all. Cannot wait to come back next time & try some more ice cream flavors & get me some Monterey Pepper Jack Cheese as well. AGGIES makes it right here along with their ice creams. What I did notice is that 😳 their was NON STOP people coming into this place to get their ice cream fix. So yeah this ice cream is the REAL DEAL. Thank you AGGIES For a wonderful experience ❤️ & I will definitely come back for more when I visit my Auntie in Hyde Park Utah. Everyone in this Town was extremely nice & spoke very HIGHLY of this place 👌🏽 & I can truly see why? They do Ice Cream right at this place & it was all worth it to me to come here & experience for myself before I headed back to California... Thank you very much AGGIES ICE...
Read moreWe had very high hopes and expectation for this place as we do all university creameries based on local dairy farming. However, they fell way short of our expectations. We stopped in because we were near by but I'd never drive to get ice cream there again. We got Bull tracks, praline pecan and a few other flavors. The bull tracks was supposed to have chunks of caramel and other items in it but in reality, I saw one chocolate chip and it was just bland chocolate ice cream...I can't even remember them because they lacked flavor and any taste at all besides plain vanilla ice cream.
I couldn't even finish mine because I felt it was a waste of the sugar and carbs for the day and that was upsetting. Back in CT, we would happily drive 45 minutes to the UCONN state dairy barn because of the variety of flavors and the intense tastes of every single ice cream I've ever tried there.
As we were leaving, the place started filling up and line got really long and I heard a woman tell her child "don't worry, it's totally worth it". I disagree. Wholeheartedly. If it's the only ice cream place in town or you want to support local, go for it. I am glad...

Anytime someone uses the phrase "plain vanilla," as if it somehow means boring or unoriginal, I kind of laugh to myself.😅
Apparently, folks don't know the real history of vanilla.
For starters, it's the second most expensive spice in the world (#1 is saffron). Vanilla is the only edible fruit out of THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND species of orchid. Frankly, it's a statistical miracle. It requires a special tropical climate to grow, and each flower blooms for, wait for it....one day. 😳
Pound for pound, vanilla seeds are worth more than silver.
Historically, only kings could afford such a rare delicacy as vanilla.
Not to mention the invention of ice cream itself, which would have required sending an expedition to the mountains to bring back ice during a hot summer. 🔥🧊
And yet here I am, casually enjoying this frozen USU Aggie Creamery dessert flavored with one of the most miraculous spices in the world.
You may call it "plain vanilla."
I call it a miracle.
Modern life is pretty amazing if you have an attitude of...
