The only plus side of this place is you can have more time to take tests. Theres nobody there to ask about a typo, the staff suck at tech support, the desks are tiny, no full sheets of paper, they suck at having the required resources available, and they let people who are obviously sick in there. Ive had multiple tests here with typos. I realize that is on the teacher not the testing center, if it was in class or proctored by TA Id be able to ask what I was supposed to do. Since its proctored by people that dont even know what the class covers there is no support in this area. Im surprised a college with a CS department and thousands of computer nerds cant figure out basic tech issues. I had a computer do a self reboot in the middle of my test. it took 5 mins for someone to get me a new computer. Not only is it dumb this happened in the first place, how does it take more than 30 seconds for them to go "Your computer is off Heres a new one" Not only did it break my rhythm and stress me out, I did not get additional time to make up for these technical difficulties. I would love to have a conversation with whoever approved the test size. If youre taking a test where you dont even need scratch paper, they are probably big enough.Every test I have taken in the testing center has involved a lot of calculations. When there is barely enough room for the laptop, equation sheet, and a sheet of paper how am I supposed to solve a problem that takes 3 full sheets of paper, frequent access to the equation sheet, and somewhere to put all my half sheets with the rest of the problem? Im in a class right now where I need drafting tools and ample desk space to test properly. there is not room to use a ruler and a protractor on the desk at the same time. I ended up taking up 3 desks for one test. I dont know what Im going to do on the final. You rarely get full sheets of paper. Unless your professor has requested that you be given full sheets, you are given half sheets. When I took MATH 2250 I would end up using around 5 sheets of paper per question. Not only would that number be less than 2.5 if I was given full sheets of paper,I wouldnt have an inch thick stack of work sitting on my desk, loose half sheets everywhere, and not be able to find the page with the first third of my problem on it. good luck having enough room to write. If the testing center is supposed to provide something for you, be ready to have to wait for them to find the resource, print out anything needed, complain if you want 2 copies, have the prints be very low quality, and good luck getting anything beyond that from them. I took tests for CHEM-1210 in here and wanted to be able to see the equation sheet and the periodic table at the same time. They print both of them out on the same sheet, and I got push back every test when I asked for a second. The file given to us was in color, so I got used to using those colors for reference. The testing center only had black and white, and when I asked for a color one they said it wasnt an option. Need an eraser? should have brought one. Need a calculator? only half the buttons work on this one, the screen is so dim you can barely see it. Need a pencil? heres a dull yellow pencil with a broken eraser and lead that smears if you so much as breath on the it. They truly are horrible at providing resources for you.

I was in school in the spring of 2020. They closed the testing center that semester because of the Rona. Apparently they didnt learn anything about suppressing illness in that time. Since they reopened, Ive had people who I dont know how it could have been more obvious they had a fever test not 3 feet from me. I have never taken a test and not heard someone coughing like they were dying, and Ive heard multiple people vomit in there. Why are you letting sick people in an enclosed environment, surrounded by people, and using communal resources like desks and laptops. Its disgusting. In short, the testing center lacks resources, personnel, cleanliness, and space. I'd give it 0...

The USU Kaysville testing center was closed today so I drove to Logan to take the exam. When I arrived at the Logan testing center the line was out the door! I started the exam at 1:45 and the testing center insisted I be done by their closing time at 2:30 not giving me the full 60 min I had to take the exam. I have never once experienced this hard testing cut off before at Kaysville campus. I couldn’t believe it. Kaysville has always allowed me to finish exams even passed closing hours. So unfortunately I had problems that I didn’t finish nor did I get to go back and review my work. Students should be given time to finish...

Starting this semester (Fall 2019) the testing center has required students to schedule their tests online so there are no more walk-in appointments, and I don't know if if that was the cause, but this semester the lines for the testing center have been outrageously long! In previous semesters I could just walk in without having to wait more than two minutes or so (except for finals week I had to wait at most 5-7min). I have had to sit in lines for almost 15min this semester. I don't know what the problem is, but it's absurd. Otherwise, the testing environment is nice and staff are great to work with, so no...
