South Bay Dance Center — Attraction in Lomita

Booked this venue for a cultural pre-wedding event. Large hall can easily accommodate 150 and still have room for a dance floor. You can have more guests but probably won't have room for a dance floor. Event was on a Saturday so we were allowed to come the Friday evening before to set up in advance, which was very helpful. Nice little kitchen to store food/extra things during the event. Venue provides tables and chairs but the chairs are old and some were crusty, and not all the same color, so I'd recommend chair covers or bringing in your own chairs if you really want that seamless look. Price was reasonable and within the range of Socal banquet hall pricing, however we got a cheaper deal because the event was not during peak-season. The location of the venue is kinda sketchy at night time; there was a person dumpster diving Friday evening when we were setting up. Owner of this the place was very professional since first appointment, she showed us the two available dance floors and walk through of each one, she cover from restroom to kitchen to timing. Very wonderful experience. Hall was clean the day of the event, kitchen was spotless, (kitchen included a fridge and stove) restroom were clean, very y spacious dance floor security staff was on point and very professional. Plenty of parking spots (a lot ) and lots the day of the event she also provide orientation one more time. Very flexible prices. It was a very wonderful experience this place is a must for every event you can think of.

Nice venue with some paneling on the walls and nice sconces. I was in a hall with capacity for about 200 people. It's located in a shopping center that makes it a bit confusing to find. I think there's also parking in the back. I just don't like that they don't allow baby strollers inside, which is extremely inconvenient for parents with young children. Also the bathrooms don't have a baby...
