NOTE

This Rating is for the ticket package ( you buy 3 shows in the same seat) Buying direct tixs as you go rather than the package gets u better closer seats for same price. The pkg I got was 60 a ticket and my seat is at least 10 rows farther than purchasing a ticket at box office ( for the same price)

On a separate score: Definitely the plays and playhouse: ——————5 stars

Amazing show would highly recommend to go see it and i would enjoy watching it again. Had a blast seeing the dancers dance and the musicians play. I would want to go see Ballet Folklorico de Los Angeles again and can not wait for the Christmas performance to come out to go view them and see which dances and songs they bring out. Amazing to see how dances are performed from each part of mexico and the detailed story behind each dance and song that was performed. Great seeing how they made a tribute to Selena And Vicente Fernandez ( El Rey). I would have to say the best part of the performance was not the disney songs although the Disney performance was amazing. I would go with the dance from Michoacán as it hit close to home and was easily relatable to the performance. Could not say it again would recommend to go see them live and in person as social media and watching it on your phone or tablet or computer does not do it justice/ give you the same sense of deeling as being there and in person. And on that not i conclude my review abou the performance on...

What an amazing center! After Stella Cole announced her US tour dates, I bought tickets for the Cabaret theater section, which I guess is "backstage" of the main theater. It's a smaller venue - there were about 150 people at this concert and tickets were $65 each for the rear tables - I would have gladly picked a closer table, but they were already sold out (It seems they offer certain tables to "subscribers" or local residents first) We arrived an hour early (LA traffic) and parked using the app - which was $10 from 5pm-midnight. They did offer a dinner, but it was $43 per person and somewhat buffet style. We opted out. They have cool displays in the lobby for The Carpenters including many of the gold records, Grammy's and Karen's drum set. The show started right on time and had a 15 minute intermission. Drinks were somewhat reasonable with wine and beer being $8. Stella killed it and had a great performance. Bummed that there were no photos/videos allowed, but I...

🎭  Thanks to @musicaltheatrewest I was able to take my daughter to a production of "The Sound of Music" at the Carpenter Theatre in Long Beach over the weekend, and we both had such a tremendous time.   ⭐️The entire cast was stellar! Julianna Sloan brings a joyous sound to the lead role of Maria, Jonathan von Mering, as Captain von Trapp, is the perfect leading man with a voice to match, and The Mother Abbess, portrayed brilliantly by Sarah Wolter, brought absolute chills to my spine with her vocal ability and range when she sang "Climb Ev'ry Mountain." Under the Musical Direction of Dennis Castelano, the full orchestra's sounds swept and immersed the theater. Not only did Castelano conduct the talented musicians, he also conducted the celestial sounding choral of Nuns, whose voices we were most blessed to hear. At one point, when audiences would normally applaud at the end of a song, it seems we had all collectively became entranced by their sweet sounds. In attempts to not miss out on one singular note, the audience was held captivated in a momentary silence until finally a booming round of applause and shouts of exhalation finally erupted from theatergoers, myself included. I am thrilled to have had the opportunity to witness "The Sound of Music," and very much look forward to attending many more musicals by @musicaltheatrewest in the future. ⭐️The Sound of Music is performing through November 5th.  .. Future performances to look forward to seeing with Musical Theatre West in 2004: 42nd Street February 9 - 25 Million Dollar Quartet April 12 - 28 Newsies July 12 - 28 Ain't Misbehavin' October 18 - November 3 .... ⭐️THANK YOU TO THE CAST AND CREW FOR A MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE! Director (Wayne Bryan), Music Director (Dennis Castellano), Choreographer (Christine Negherbon), Scenic Design (Adam Koch - I absolutely loved the gorgeous rose window in the Abby),  Costume Design (Deborah Roberts, Lighting Design (Paul Black), Sound Design (Julie Ferrin), Technical Direction (Kevin Clowes), Production staff, Stage Manager (Jill Gold), and the GLORIOUS musicians, and OUTSTANDING cast!👏 #musicaltheatrewest #magicmadetodaytheatre #visitlongbeach
