Coolidge Park — Attraction in Long Beach

This park didn't get any attention from the city, it was run down and didn't have much to offer until the Los Angeles Clippers came along and made it into something. They remodeled the entire basketball court and I have to say it looks great. They now have a dog park, they've included a exercise area and cleaned up the entire park! I've seen this place grow over the last few years and its a good thing now the kids can have a descent park to play at. Years ago you couldn't pay me to let my kids go here lol, but...

Currently have my daughter's enrolled in the Dodgers RBI program at Coolidge park. They don't know a thing about baseball but the coach has so much patience. That being said the park is small and quiet. Not crowded. There's basketball courts and a baseball field. Also there's a dog park right next to it. You can bring your little ones to play at the playground while you exercise on the exercising equipment they have there... Which is still intact and close...

This is an active park- there is a carousel, walking paths, the river, a line of ice cream & unique eateries, an interactive water fountain & lots of places to sit or play outdoor games. You can do as much or as little as you want. In the evening, the lights across the river and on the nearby walking bridge are a sight to see.
