Uptown Dog Park — Attraction in Long Beach

First time at this park and I gotta say I loved it! I went for the dog park but realized there's also a whole regular park there with a pond and these cute tiny bridges surrounded by rocks and flowing water. I took my dog for a walk around the park and after she emptied her bladder, I took her to the dog park. They have two sides, one for small dogs and the other for big dogs. They offer water fountains and a few toys for the dogs. I will definitely be coming back. I did give it 4 stars because there's a few questionable people walking around and also some dogs without leashes at the actual park. Some lady had her dog lose and the dog went and attacked another aggressive dog. The owner had to physically pick up her dog and go to her car. Love the Dog Park especially the Large Dog portion. Give the kids a chance to socialize with other breeds. Just make sure all pets have all their shots n r healthy to enter. Just like the Pandemic dogs can share diseases n illnesses. Also u should not bring young puppies in any dog park or on any soil or grass. If Parvo (a killer disease) is in that soil or grass any puppy will die, n it's not a pretty illness. Never put your puppy on anything but cement until they have every vaccine n move towards their 6 months shots. So don't endanger your dog or anyone else's dog n keep your puppy or dog home if their too young or their a dog but showing signs of illness, even passing eyes. All of the diseases...

Large dog side and small dog side. Water bowls avail available both sides. Yes, they work. Benches under shaded trees. Excellent. However, landscape needs a lot of tending. A greener park will bring in more public. A taken care of foundation is what brings tourists and more customers to Long beach. Just a suggestion. Available poopy bags and believe bathrooms are located next to playground.

I rate a three star soley based on the landscape. A good landscape equals happy dogs equals more foot traffic for the public. Please keep up on the up keep for greener foundation. Not just dirt...
