Sunlight Motel — Hotel in Long Beach

We moved out here and were looking for a place to stay for 3 weeks while our house in the area closed escrow and were looking for somewhere inexpensive to stay because we were scraping together all our money for a down payment. We happened upon the hotel and asked for the nightly rate and were pleased. He showed us our room before we booked and it was very very small but that was fine. I have a service dog and there’s no requirement for me to inform a hotel, but I’m always upfront about it. The man immediately said no, and then raised the price by fifty dollars a night stating he’d have to clean the room. It was incredibly illegal and I will be looking into avenues to report...

Just a little hotel with decent rooms and a safe neighborhood. Love doing stay-cation with hubby cuz can walk to Bixby Knolls area and have a romantic dinner at a little mom n pop place, dessert at Rite Aid and then back to my jacuzzi tub room!! Best hotel in town.. Lowest cost per night in Long Beach and they also have weekly special !! Well kept and clean, both inside the rooms and outdoor. Everything from tile floor, bed, bathroom and sink area is updated. Great staff oncall/on site management 24/7. Stayed here with my fiance for almost 3 months while I we were searching for a place of our own....
