I’ve owned birds as pets my entire life. Took my bird here because they advertised “grooming” services. I arrived with a towel expecting a standard grooming service process…instead, no towel used, just my baby plucked roughy from his carrier and blunt human nail clippers used to cut his toes! No beak grooming offered and although a wing clip was offered, I didn’t take the person up on that. Seemed like they would have clipped his wings with the blunt nail clipper?? I’ve never in my entire life had a grooming experience like this! The attitude of the person offering the service seemed really angry at me for no reason and I was even told after the toe clip that my birds toes may bleed…never in 20 years of owning birds or getting them groomed has that ever happened! That’s NOT normal! Thankfully, no bleeding happened but man what an odd unpleasant experience!
Also, I told the “groomer” ie dude with blunt human nail clippers, that my birds wings were NOT clipped. Guy still performed the “grooming” right next to a door open to the outside! I had to shut the door myself during the service so my bird wouldn’t have a chance to fly away. Absolutely mind blown.
I didn’t have a chance to look at anything else in the store because I was so worried about my baby during the process. Please if you are in LA, go to Omar’s. I wish I had. I normally do for his grooming but I had overslept and wouldn’t have made it there on time. But I will never be going back here and please beware if you’re planning to visit yourself! The “grooming” isn’t grooming at all and your bird will...
Read moreMy husband went to go buy me a bird here because my recent on had passed from old age. He felt bad but knows nothing when it comes to birds. I've had parakeets my whole life and I know when theyre sick or about to die. The guy took advantage of him and sold my husband a sick bird. Didn't give him a receipt because he knew he didn't want the sick bird back and when my husband asked why he was seperated in a different cage , they told him he just had problems getting along with the other birds. I brought him home took him to the vet Capri animal hospital and cost me $1,228. He had fatty liver disease. I tired eveyrhing but yesterday he died. my mom went to check this place out she was stunned. She saw a lot of sick birds and that it wasn't the same owner anymore. When she tried to buy a few things at the register the guy kept talking to another customer completely ignoring my mother , she said excuse me sorry but can I get rung up ? The guy just said to wait and still kept conversating with the other guy for an extra 10mins my mom asked again the guy this time just all rude raised his voice and told my mom to wait. My mom just threw the food at his register and left. If I Had the receipt they would be getting sued right now. I wish someone could come in and check the conditions how the animals are in and do something about it. If you plan to sell birds you need to care for them too.my Poor baby. May he...
Read moreI visited with my family since we were looking and wanted to buy a big bird, as soon as we walked in i felt unwelcome, after a short while and no one even approaching us to help us a called a gentleman that was sitting up in front and i asked for the price of a bird and his response was “too expensive for you, i think it’s over $150” at which point my wife thought he was joking but i felt the insult of saying that we were cheap or poor, at that point my wife kept looking at the birds and we were interested in a “white bird” which turned to be a cockatoo, and we approached the counter which we waited more than 10 awkward minutes since the guy was just being rude and ignoring up, at that point the guy told us that no bird was for sale and he didn’t have what we needed, at that point i noticed that we were the ones that bothered him for most likely being hispanics which at that point i asked my wife to just go some place else which we did went to the perfect parrot in No Ho and got the customer service we deserved for the money we spent,
avoid this business, not sure if the guy behind the counter is the owner but it looks like he either hates his job and hates certain races, i will never recommend this place to anyone i...
