Charlie Beach — Attraction in Los Angeles

Excellent beach for children. The breakwall reduces the waves significantly, but still allows for small ones. It's shallow for a long way out as well. Also, the paved path along the jetty is perfect for dragging a wagon from your car, all the way to the water, as opposed trudging thru sand for 20 minutes like in most other beaches. I love this beach. The sand feels amazing and to add on to that the sand in the water is nice and not as rough as some other beaches offer. My sons Jake and LJ loved it but we had a little bit of a scrum after Jake decided to throw sand at LJ's eye. That made for quite the coincidence. Lol! I would give it 5 stars but I am giving it 4 because I do not know...

Unfortunately, the area has become less safe with homeless individuals becoming more confrontational and disruptive. It's disheartening to see this shift in the neighborhood. I feel compelled to take extra precautions...
