Lagoon if you’re going to charge me $40 for two hamburgers two pieces of corn then I want a hamburger that’s cooked not a cold one that some kids pulled off a shelf and waited for me to order it. The pulled pork sandwich was completely soggy because they made it probably two or three hours before and you don’t even roast the corn anymore but you dip it in movie popcorn butter it’s the nastiest stuff I’ve ever eat in my life. Then I sat and choked on my food for a minute. I watched another customer get handed an order of fries and then handed it back to the girl working at the old Mill Grill and she just put it back on the shelf and then gave it to another customer. I’m pretty sure that it goes against health guidelines. we drop a lot of money in this park and we expect some quality not a bunch of incompetent workers. Get some real management up in here and get this place running like it used to because you’re all dropping the ball and anyone who eats the food here is probably gonna get sick. Do...
Read moreBeautiful scenery! There’s a playground, picnic area and ducks. It’s right next to the beach and the bike path so it’s perfect for a picnic without getting Sandy but still enjoying the beach. When I went I got takeout food from a local restaurant, this served as a great picnic spot. There is sun and shade making it fit to whatever temperature you desire. It wasn’t too crowded and there are benches to sit at. The playground is nice to play in if you wish to be a child again and there’s is a baseball field perfect for any sport. If you get bored of staying here at the lagoon you can always walk to the beach, it’s a very short walk! I biked here and it was very simple and easy but parking also surrounds this so it’s driving accessible as well. Have fun with your experience...
Read moreYou know, this place is still a bit of an oasis in LA. I've been many times, as it's a perfect place for West Side Angelinos to gather to BBQ, picnic, etc. Playa del Rey used to be a beachy little village minutes from anywhere, but always feeling like it was elsewhere. All things change, and silicon beach is creeping in here, too. Still a place away from LA, in spite of being in LA. (Water let out of the Ballona channel system keeps the level up, so when water is scarce its level will be lower. I would strongly advise against swimming in it, though some seem to. Just go to the beach...
