Nori is brilliant. He has been given me the sexiest, flirtiest haircuts of my life for SIX straight years.
I'm writing this update because things in my life have changed a lot. I live way out of town and started losing so much hair after giving birth to my baby. I was hormonal and could not take it any longer: I cheated. Took an appointment with the "best" hairstylist in town and came out in tears. My hair was botched and impossible to style.
Thankfully, a couple of months later I was in town and had Nori fixing the mess. Not only did he give me a fantastic cut, knowing that I live far away he gave me a cut that is growing beautifully and today, 5 months later still gets me compliments.

Read moreThis hair salon is a Haven of Japanese stylists for women and men. They are precise, excellent, and courteous. You don't have to speak Japanese, but it helps. Going there for haircuts and color for 15 years plus which are done with Japanese flourishes such as ear protectors while coloring and facial cover cloths while shampooing. Also like this Japanese speaking place so I can relax and not answer ad nauseum about my social life and work. And to top it off, my hair services are half of the cost as when I get my hair done in Beverly Hills. Free parking lot vs the traffic and hassle of Beverly Hills. And it's attached to the Mitsuwa Market! Home run and no brainer. Akisan is my guy but they are all fab....

Booked them three months in advance and was not disappointed. My hair is normally in humidity so I have to deal with frizzy hair, and hairdresser Tiger was great with explaining the difference temperature and humidity would have on it when I went back home. The place was crazy busy, I was doing a hair straightening along with chopping of about 10 inches of hair, was about 5 hours. I saw around 10 people come and go of all age ranges. It’s very clear they are a local favorite and remember just about everyone who comes by.
Unfortunately for me they are very far, but I would go as far to come back to LA just to get my hair...
