Worst hotel experience ever. I arrived 3pm at check-in time and had to wait 30 minutes to get a room. they did not have a room available. So we waited 30 minutes for them to clean the room. And when we got into the room the bed sheets and the comforter were stained. We asked for housekeeping to come and change the sheets as they were stained. However after waiting another 30 minutes no one came to clean the room. As the room wasn’t clean we requested a refund as IHG has a clean promise. However, they refuse to refund my money. They said “the manager is not here”. While clearly there a manager was in the other room. The check-in lady had no idea what she was doing as she was new to her job. Would never ever book with them. Please stay somewhere else. They blatantly lie to our faces. Avoid them like the plague 🤧.

Because of extenuating circumstances I had a long stay at this hotel (2 weeks). Staff is very friendly and willing to help. Because of COVID, I was very cautious and was allowed to bring cleaning equipment to keep place sanitized for my own peace of mind. The bed is very, very comfortable, it's been some of the best sleep I've had in months. The room came fitted with an awesome desk with conveniences like a lamp with USB plugins and AC port. Best of all was the bathroom is very spacious and I took the luxury of semi-nightly hot tub bath. Not only that, but the location is great. A simple walk takes you to a handful of restaurants and a nextdoor supermarket. It was truly sad having to finally leave... XD

Room and hotel were dirty. The IRG Clean Promise is not a thing at this hotel. Pool was not usable. Dirty/used soap in the shower - no soap available at the hotel - they were out the entire time we were there. Asked for maid service several times and never saw them for the 4 days and 3 nights we were there. True statement: No maid service. Had to eventually set all of our garbage outside so it didn't pile up inside the room. Front desk staff was cordial as well as breakfast staff. I've tried contacting them to make things right with no response.

All in all, I had a nice stay. HI Woodland Hills is a good value for the location and amenities. A few opportunities for improvement. The gym was fine but did not have towels available any of the 3 days I worked out. Also I noticed 3 days in a row that the gym door window was dirty. I don't believe the gym was maintained regularly. Also, the the card sensor in the (only) elevator did not work one evening until the next morning. I feel as this was an inconvenience for many people. It worked properly with an employee's card. Every time someone needed the elevator, they either had to skip it and walk up the stairs or wait for the clerk to come over and swipe for the guest. This held up the elevator and left people needlessly waiting. I would have expected this to be fixed the night it broke, however it was not fixed until the next morning when the Maintenance crew came in. Isn't this considered an urgent need to be fixed asap? I was surprised to get up the next morning to find it still an issue. Luckily there are only 3 flights in the entire building. The climb was welcome exercise. Also, my ironing board was not in my room. I needed to call the front desk to request one be sent. This added a stress level to my morning, but manageable. One other thing, When I checked in, I received slight attitude from the girl at the front desk when I asked her to change my room. I normally like high floor, away from the elevators. When she handed me my key, I asked her for the change. She mentioned that she did not see any "special requests" on my reservation and that she would go a head and "change all my paperwork" which took all of about 32 seconds. She seemed to lay a bit of a guilt trip on me because I hadn't mentioned this prior. There was no line waiting. I was the only guest at the desk so it did not affect anyone else. The next day, I spoke to the girl again and she was sweet as can be. May be I caught her at an off moment :) Next time I will add the comment when I make my reservation. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but feel it necessary to point these items out. One last thing. There was a large curly hair on my tub when I first checked in.. yuck! Nothing was a deal breaker for future stays. Very good breakfast. Yummy cinnamon buns and good coffee!...

We were shocked by the positive reviews for this hotel. We arrived late at night. When we got off the elevator, there was a huge pile of vomit on the floor. We went down to the front desk to let the staff know. The desk agent said that he knew about the vomit, but didn't have anyone to clean it. He said he had a photo of it on his phone and would let the cleaning crew know as soon as they arrived. We went back up to our room. The entire hallway on our floor stank from the vomit and a pervasive smoke odor (despite having reserved a nonsmoking room). Our room was filthy. There was hair in the tub and the edges of the shower had pink fungus growing in there, which suggested that it hadn't been properly cleaned in weeks or months. The room stank of smoke. The beds were hard as a rock, the safe in the closet had no batteries, so it was unusable. The drains in both the shower and the sink were clogged. We were disgusted, but so tired from traveling that we decided to sleep and switch rooms in the morning. When we got up the next day, the pile of vomit was still in the hallway. We went down to the lobby to alert the front desk that the vomit had not been cleaned. A new desk agent was there and he said that he knew that the vomit was there but his janitorial crew had only been in for a few hours and hadn't been able to clean it yet. A FEW HOURS??? It would seem that vomit in a public space would be the very first important thing to clean when the staff arrived in the morning. The desk agent literally couldn't care less that there was a public health issue that had been sitting there, unattended to, for over 14 hours. All things being equal, we decided not to eat the included breakfast. If the hotel staff can't be trusted to keep public spaces clean, how could we trust that food had been handled properly? This was the most revolting hotel stay we've ever experienced and we've stayed in some pretty questionable accommodations in far flung locations. We contacted Holiday Inn about our experience and never heard...
