John Ferraro Athletic Fields — Attraction in Los Angeles

This review is coming from a spectator POV, not as an athlete.

This is a massive field, all or mostly turf, I think a few are grass.

However I despise that they don’t allow parents to bring their own chairs to sit in. They expect all of them to smash together on the bleachers. There’s not enough for all of the parents and family members. And even if there was, I’d still prefer to sit in my chair for back support and arm space. It’s just way more comfortable. So I always end up sitting by myself off the field. It’s silly. I did notice during the last games of the day, other people would bring their chairs and sit in them and the referee didn’t say anything. So that’s also annoying how it’s inconsistent.

They only have porta potties for restrooms 😭 however, you can walk super far towards the parking lot to use the actual restrooms. So I’m grateful for that.

There are lots of vendors nearby so that is helpful too...

Amazing park and field for doggies and our kids to play soccer. The only bad and can’t get anything worse is the amount of MEN SMOKING WHILE WATCHING OUR KIDS PLAY!! Our kids have to smell nicotine, while they are running for almost 1 hour, and if we all take our babies, smallest kids To watch their siblings play they also have to smell the smoke of the cigarettes from the these UNMORAL parents. Smoking like a damn CHIMNEY NON STOP!! This should be a rule and management and owners, or whatever of this field do not care, and this should be a healthy concern for all of our kids, playing and smelling this nicotine Management needs to start implementing something about...

I can't believe the attitude of the people running this place. My father has arthritis and a bad knee and they told him he can't sit on a foldable chair, he can sit on the floor. If he sat on he floor he wouldn't be able to get up, so he was forced to leave and miss my nephews soccer game. The poor coach of the team who's had tumors removed from his brain was made throw his water away "because they sell water outside". This sort of discrimination against the sick and elderly will not be tolerated. Furthermore, what kind of example are you setting for the children. No wonder this place is always empty. Go to...
