LOS NOVILLOS MARKET — Attraction in Los Angeles

Visited this market for the first time since the name change from "Guadalajara Meat Market." The food was just as good as I remembered it. However, the customer service from the ladies in the back was completely unacceptable. First, we stood at the food counter to order the meat, as indicated on the posted signs. After waiting for about 5 minutes without being acknowledged, my partner asked the ladies if we could order. Before he could finish his sentence, the ladies pointed to the side and said that we needed to go there first. We go over to the cashier and while he's trying to order, I hear the ladies at the food counter laughing about how we were just standing there waiting, "staring" at them.

The cashier sends us back, saying they need to weigh the meat at the food counter before we can place the order. We go back to the food counter, get the meat weighed, and finally place the order with the cashier. We returned to the food counter once again, and that's when the confusion began. When they called for the next person, the lady looked at our receipt and asked if they had already weighed the meat. We said yes. She then tried to give the receipt to the lady who weighed the meat so that she could finish fulfilling our order. THAT lady then claimed she wasn't the one who was helping us. They went back and forth for like 2-3 minutes, started arguing even. The lady that weighed the meat then claimed that she had already given it to us. Mind you, they weren't including us in the conversation at all.

We jump in and explain that we have not received anything yet. At this point, all parties involved are very clearly annoyed. Especially us. In the end, we got our order, but this experience left me considering never going back.

Highly recommend an updated training on customer service.

The flap meat marinated. Doesn't taste good and also the weight is off. For example, 3 slabs of meat is 2.5lbs that is INSANE incorrectly at all level. Any expert know that 3 slabs of meat is 1 lbs. They scam you of your money. Avoid this place at all cost. Never returning again. They just want to 1 time individuals so they can get the money. This place is HORRIBLE. I'm personally never returning to this place...

Before this place had great service and food items used to make traditional Mexican food at a good price. Now everything is EXPENSIVE AF!! They most likely doubled the price of a lot of items. For example a small container of green mole was 3.99 now its 6.99, 2.99 lb for Peruvian beans, one single garlic head is now 2.50. These prices are CRAZY, and because of this they lost a...
