Plugged LA Cutz 3 — Attraction in Los Angeles

Ok. I DO NOT EVER TAKE TIME TO WRITE A REVIEW. at first I had a decent review but upon a few visits you really get to see the vibe of the shop. Edwin is cool, but he talks a really big game on how good he is at being a barber and his cuts are impeccable compared to your last barber. However after about 6 appointments with him, he doesn’t remember how to cut my hair, he doesn’t give any feed back whatsoever on your actual vision for your hair. I told him when I first started coming to him my most important thing in a barber - client relationship is valuing each others time, and I won’t be late to my appointments and in the event I am, I will pay if I don’t make it. And or we will make it right. I have booked an appointment, drove over an hour and a half to be there (I live over an hour away and still come to see the guy, giving the benefit of doubt) and he sits a client down right in front of me at my appointment time and says “oh my bad bro I got you next time” we reset the appointment time, and I come back a few days later expecting him to give me a discount since he waisted my time, absolutely nothing. Our whole conversation about how we will value each others time and so on so forth went completely out the window when push came to shove, and bro wanted to get paid. Kind of wack. To add to it, bro really said my old barber showed me no love, and he would prove to me why he is superior in cutting hair. Turns out, every time I went to him and asked for the same exact cut, (literally a taper and beard trim, ONLY) somehow I’d come out with a different cut every time 🤣 tell me who’s paying 80$ driving out over an hour and a half, just to get an inconsistent cut.. every single time. And honestly, to add cream on the cake, every time I texted the barber to make an appointment, he hits me back with “who’s this” like bro… if you don’t save numbers, scroll up in our convo. Or maybe have the decency to save me under the name I give you every...

Worst haircut I’ve ever received. I walked in yesterday got paired up with some guy they were calling abuelo, I had asked the barber if he can replicate a picture of an undercut I brought him and CONFIRMED he can do it. I specifically asked for my hair to stay a bit long I just wanted a taper mostly and almost nothing on top. Bro legit cut the entirety of my hair and didn’t even do the taper in the back now I got an awkwardly shaped cut in the back and my hair is so short it stands up now he kept asking me if it almost there like he didn’t know what he was doing either.
