The loop trail is a little more then a mile but there are a few steep hills and lots of foliage for shade. The path narrows at different points so I don't recommend bringing small children. Overall a lovely little gem hidden in the city. You can see DTLA on a clear day.

Lovely little park. A bit noisy from the freeway and trucks going to the landfill though

I felt really unhip walking through this park with some friends I just met the same day; we felt like we were being stared at as we walked through the sea of people to get to our destination. Maybe my pants weren't tight enough? There was a red & white cart that read "Sausage Party" on it and I wish I took a picture but I didn't want to look like a cornball with my camera. But whatevs, it's definitely an interesting spot for people watching. And if it wasn't so cold maybe I would've appreciated the scenery a lot more. Lots of dogs, hipsters, gay boys and random park dwellers...

Well it didn't seem like the pictures. I imagined for a place to go hiking along eagle rock would be nice but the hiking trail isn't as wonderful as it may seem. Only the top has a nice view of the area but other than that, the trails are really small, able to fit one person walking at a time. Overall compared to the many hiking trails I've been to, this one wasn't as I expect. Lots of private property area as well so many of the path...
