This school is very racist this is my second attempt to enroll for vocational training and trying to do orientation online at home is not sufficient . I’m under the impression this is an occupational center that picks and chooses whom they will help and show favor to . I’m 55 years of age with a disability and a strong willingness to learn . And I feel very singled out . I joined orientation online twice the first was during the pandemic and you could hardly get into the building due to Covid checks twice a week . up until now 02/18/2025 and both orientation teachers are beyond rude . It’s bad enough you’re being viewed through a small camera with this Adriana Rubio looking at you as if she is mad you show up online for orientation . No hello welcome to class nothing But for me learning something new is all I know . And this situation is very unpleasant . I feel very discriminated against . This is not a good school maybe back in the 90’s and early 2000’s I knew individuals who actually came out of prison and got certified as barbers . Now it’s trash just filled with racism and dictatorship on who can learn and who is not approved to learn . But one thing I’ve been disabled all my life and have never gave up I’m a licensed barber since 1997 , and a commercial truck driver since 2018 . If I have to learn by going to a library or through any available network so be it . You school is trash thank you for the...

Read moreI used to recommend this school to everyone. I had given it five stars all over the Internet. I had an awesome instructor! But Ron retired. I'll say one good thing about this school. It's cheaper than private schools and you'll probably get the same education, good and bad. Abraham Friedman Occupational Center has too many unqualified instructors. The shop classes don't accept real work requests from the public. They only practice on existing structures in the classroom, mannequins in the beauty school, and dummy cars in auto shop. Too many of the instructors have no writing skills. They don't fill out documents correctly. They can't keep records. This means that even if you did learn something, you probably won't get a valid certificate or proof of training for it. This means that they might require you to perform extra, unnecessary hours. They don't help you get your licence for your trade and they don't care if you can't get it. It could be because of their improper documentation they provided upon graduation, they will make you wait half a decade for it, blaming you 🫵🫵🏼🫵🏾 all the way. They don't take responsibility for their actions. They act like they, personally, will get sued. They don't care about justice or equality. They take care of themselves, first. This goes all the way up to headquarters. There's no due process so you don't matter.
