Travel Town Museum is a very cute spot. You can see real train cars and go inside them. They are all stationed on tracks and are the old models, so very cool to see. There is a gift shop, snack/food vendors onsite, picnic/bbq areas for groups/events [I believe those have to be reserved], a miniature train ride that adults and children can ride for $2.75/each [this goes around the entire outdoor museum twice], an indoor museum part that includes old trains and cars as well as a train table to play on. *Pro Tip: You can bring your own trains from home, but if you forgot yours you can borrow one for each child from the Gift Shop with your photo ID or purchase one or many as well! It is a FREE mostly outdoor, with an indoor building, museum that the children will enjoy [adults too!]. You cannot beat a FREE educational and fun time experience in my book! There are bathrooms, lots of good photo opps, and just a nice excursion spot for...
Read moreI was so excited to bring my kids for a visit after more than a year, but I can honestly say I will NEVER visit the gift shop again.
The trains throughout the park were mostly closed so at this point it's just somewhere to wall around, we waited 25 minutes to buy tix for the small train, then waited 45 minutes to board it..
It's taking a while because they are sanitizing between each load of people so that nice, but gift shop staff is RUDE and their prices are ridiculous. I paid $12 for 2 trains about 2 inches in size each, then when we took them back after 15 minutes became they literally fell apart in my kids hands they refused to issue a refund or let us pick 2 new trains. Not to mention the staffer at the gift shop door who literally slammed the door in my 3 year olds face because he wasn't wearing a mask, but she didnt give us a chance to take it from where it was hanging off his ear and put it on.

Read moreI absolutely love coming here with the family. I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and it’s always been extremely pleasant. It’s never too crowded it’s always easy to find parking, find a place to picnic and let the kids play. They trains and engines are big and the kids love them. Going inside the passenger carts and taking pictures is nice too. All the kids and grown ups love the little train that takes you around the park. It’s extremely affordable and fun. The little indoor museum is also very unique with different kinds of cars and even circus carts from different times. You can come here all year round. But my favorite time is the fall time. The colors of the leaves are turning brown and fall on the floor making it a beautiful scene. This is one of my favorite parks in Los Angeles. I will continue to come here and bring my kids here they never ever complain about coming here. Highly recommend this...
