I have been to many many other beauty supply stores but "WOW" Beauty Supply in Reseda is worth my hour drive from Ventura every two weeks. There's nothing like this super store of wigs in all of Ventura County. I find everything I love there and they even have products I never would have known about had I not ventured out of isolated Ventura county where it's a bit slow. You'd think being just north of LA Ventura would be on it and competing with LA stores. What ever you need "WOW" has it. They have great hours too and stay open on some holidays....like july 4th. Their selection of wigs is out of this world. The employees remember you and even remember what you like and show you new styles that have come in they know you'll want to try. I love wigs because to me it's like part of wearing your clothes. How boring to have the same hair everyday and expect it to look good with ALL of your outfits!!!!! seriously. LOL. you have to wear hair that compliments I think anyway. I think the prices are reasonable. They offer variety of products in variety of price ranges. You won't be disappointed. There's always ample parking in the Ralphs (now food 4less I think) shopping center on Vanoween st near Reseda Blvd in Reseda CA.
Ive always been helped and greeted by smiling employees. I've called too and I know they are busy so I make sure I have my question down to exactly what Im needing. They are very helpful. go early though if there is a holiday or event happening to get the best stuff
up date....9/30/2015 I moved from Ventura County to Riverside County and I still drive over 2 hours to WOW Wigs in Reseda to get my wigs.. I have to make it an event, I keep asking them there at WW when they going to open one next door to me out in Menifee that I get run for them..Believe me I have searched everywhere for a new wig store in my area, and haven't yet found another that beats Wow Wigs prices, selection and great staff. They have great hours too. They are in LA county in city of Reseda in the now very crowded San...
Read moreThe one-star rating here is ONLY for my mom finding the product that she had been looking for.
This is my first- and last-time visiting WOW Beauty. I stopped in earlier this afternoon after work with my mom, who, was looking to find a certain product for her hair in-store because she was tired of ordering online. I was excited to finally see a large selection of hair and beauty products that celebrate diversity in hair textures and skin tones, but I was immediately put off by two associates. The first associate, Asian/Asian descent with Smurf blue hair, quickly strode forward and aggressively asked if I needed help with finding anything when my feet were barely past the turnstile at the store entrance. I responded with a ''no thank you'' and went on my way. She then proceeded to follow me up and down the aisles, which are very narrow, in addition to blocking my way in to looking at more products. This same associate then decided to get her coworker, black/African American with glasses, in to following me around as well. I had actually heard their conversation about ''bad customers/bad energy'' because they stood outside of their OPEN staff room door, which is next to the kid's hair accessories- where I had moved to look at because their game of pretending to put away merchandise while following me around was getting REALLY old. It wasn't until my mom had gone to the cash wrap where the blue-haired woman, still pretending to do a work task, had finally gotten out of being up my backside.
These two associates' behavior was unprofessional and distasteful. Retail training and its rules may have changed, and vary across the different types of merchandise, but a first impression is usually what someone will always remember. Not everyone who walks in is going to take advantage and or steal. Should you expect a repeat offender, please refer to your store cameras and your Loss Prevention team, WOW...
Read moreWhat can I say about this beauty supply? In a word, WOW! THAT'S RIGHT, WOW! I'm a first time wig patron. I've been in Wow Beauty Supply several times before for various hair care products and makeup. But this time I went specifically to purchase my first Wig unit.
You see I was recently diagnosed with Lupus, and as a result my hair is thinning due to the meds I'm on and the disease itself. So I don't know all I need to know about wigs but I do have some knowledge because I have been doing my research. The sales staff was wonderful. The sales associate, a wig wearer herself helped me to understand current wig methodology. She helped me try on several units and was honest about what worked and what didn't. Now, if you want help with wigs, you want a person who wears a wig right? Right. So, I picked a unit, but it needed to be trimmed. Stylist to the rescue. She, as the vernacular of the day puts it, she slayed my hair! I think I need a little more taken off. I'm still not too comfortable with this length. Anyway go to WOW, your on stop place for wigs. They have a very large selection to choose from, plus all the products to maintain your new do, and your own hair too. Great staff and wonder...
