5150 Tattoo & Body Piercing — Local services in Los Angeles

As friendly as the piercers (kinda) were, I wasted about $80 on lobe and helix piercings 🙃

Got them done for my birthday (EARLY 2024!!!) by a girl with blue hair(?) first and when I got home, I immediately noticed that they were EXTREMELY uneven as shown in the photo (which you can tell that the piercings are uneven because there’s a similar amount of space between the top of the picture and the top of my ears, so it’s not how my head is sitting).

I went to go get the right side redone the next day and it was done by a man that time who made a weird comment about how girls tend to notice things like this more often because of how we “do makeup and need that to be perfect, too.” Like what??? You guys are the professionals so shouldn’t y’all notice this EVEN MORE and not make comments like that at all????

Not only were these the issues, the girl that originally did the four piercings, the last one she did was (also my right side) third lobe piercing and she pierced it at such an angel that the metal bar of the jewelry was CONSTANTLY rubbing against the cartilage nearby, causing slight discomfort when MOVING MY HEAD, causing MORE discomfort when I barely tapped on it and infections!

Additionally, they NEVER healed despite me cleaning them with saline solution and sleeping on my back. They caused so much discomfort that I finally took them out A COUPLE DAYS AGO. I really tried to think that they actually just took longer to heal (from what people have said about helix piercings), but I’ve had worse wounds that disappeared much quicker. I even tried not touching them at all thinking that was causing too much irritation.

To top it off, I had texted the girl that first pierced me because she said I could if I had any questions, and she did respond the first time I asked, but then never replied when I asked again even though she had also told me that she “would always respond back”.

Literally take your money and go anywhere else, there’s a TON of other places you can go to...

I came in and booked an appointment to get tatted. We set it for the following week. He marked me on his calendar and everything. The day of the appointment, i arrive and he's not there. The receptionist walks in and tells me he's just a little late. I say thats fine and wait another 20 minutes. Still nothing. The receptionist then starts to text and call him but he doesn't answer. Finally the receptionist tells me to just leave my phone number and reschedule... smh. Even after leaving my phone number, I never heard from him again. Hands down best place for piercings and tattoos. I've been going to Tye for piercings since I was a teenager. Everything is always clean and sterile, he makes sure you're comfortable and relaxed.
