THIS IS THE BEST HISTORIC HOME TOUR EVER. Why? Because they have literally all of the history of it. The house has almost always been occupied or locked up, never destroyed never abandoned. I believe I could go through this tour 5 more times and keep learning. Ghosts? They have one. Punch? You get to SIT AT THE TABLE AND HAVE SOME like you belong there. I don't know if that's just southern hospitality, but they definitely don't do it like that up north. Being welcomed in like a guest of the house versus a museum patron is SO refreshing. There is a thread between the very founding of Kentucky (Alexander Bullitt, born before the American Revolution) through the Food and Drug Administration. The home is beautiful in all its iterations: 1700s, 1800s, 1900s, with family memorabilia, furniture, dishes, etc. I won't spoil your tour with too much information. I'll let the terrific docents school you. A little bourbon and a lot of history; just the way we like it. Highly...
