Let me start by stating, I’m not a history guy. I usually tune out a few minutes in. This experience was different. The staff was so engaging and knowledgeable. They delivered the narrative in a way that weaved through familiar stories about the bourbon history and delivered some unexpected facts about the impact of the Bullitt family. The experience was engaging and brought all the southern hospitality you’d come to expect from a place so rich in history like the Oxmoor. If you’re visiting and looking to add a stop or you’re a louisvillian that’s looking for something new, give the Bourbon experience a try.

Super knowledgable tour guides and a really well balanced tour. These guys really know their stuff and have researched the tour well!! The punch and bourbon were fantastic! This family kept great records through colonial times up to the 20th century and provide a unique insight on America of the time. The archictectural history of the house is really interesting and obvious when pointed out. A great and unique addition to the Louisville bourbon circuit through the eyes of some interesting historical figures!

We visited Oxmoor Farms primarily to learn about its history. Exploring the house, the grounds, and the bourbon-making process was fascinating. My favorite part of the tour was the tasting of the seasonal punch and the bourbon. The tour itself was smoothly conducted.

THIS IS THE BEST HISTORIC HOME TOUR EVER. Why? Because they have literally all of the history of it. The house has almost always been occupied or locked up, never destroyed never abandoned. I believe I could go through this tour 5 more times and keep learning. Ghosts? They have one. Punch? You get to SIT AT THE TABLE AND HAVE SOME like you belong there. I don't know if that's just southern hospitality, but they definitely don't do it like that up north. Being welcomed in like a guest of the house versus a museum patron is SO refreshing. I was so engrossed in the history I forgot to take photos but your eyes will do a better job than my...

This history tour was fascinating. Several generations of Bullitts resided on this beautiful estate, starting in the late 1700s. There is a thread between the very founding of Kentucky (Alexander Bullitt, born before the American Revolution) through the Food and Drug Administration. The home is beautiful in all its iterations: 1700s, 1800s, 1900s, with family memorabilia, furniture, dishes, etc. I won't spoil your tour with too much information. I'll let the terrific docents school you. A little bourbon and a lot of history; just the way we like it. Highly...
