I tried to make a reservation two weeks in advance for a party of 12. I was told that I had to wait until two days prior for a reservation that large. When I tried to make the reservation two days in advance, they told me that I should’ve done it two weeks ago, and that I would have to put my name on the waitlist day of. On the day of I put my name in at 1PM and was told that we would have a bay at 7 to 7:30. We arrived back at top golf at 6:30 so that we would be there for our time. After periodically checking with the front desk and told we would probably get a bay at 8PM, and then 9PM. When we still had not heard back at 9, I went back downstairs, and the number that I had been receiving texts on have been changed and somebody else had gotten our bay. None of the staff could figure out what it happened and we were told that our group could not have bays to each other. We were finally sat at 9:45 and only had about an hour and 15 minutes of game time before closing.
When we tried to log players into the bay, even those that had played before were being charged the new member fee. We were also not able to log on at all in the beginning because it said my phone number was wrong. Topgolf had my correct phone number because I’d been receiving texts all day.
While waiting at the front desk, it was obvious that I was not the only one with issues. There were multiple parties that it also been waiting since early in the day and we’re told an earlier time only to be pushed back until almost closing.
The area was not clean between the last group and us sitting down until we had already started our gameplay. It was definitely not sanitized.
The whole family was excited, but frustrated after waiting for hours and hours. Once we sat and started playing the games, we found that most of the games did not work. We were not told why, but had to play angry birds instead of the regular top off game that I’ve been able to play with the other locations. We should have been told that there was an issue with the system before waiting 8+ hours.
While we were waiting for hours after our specified bay time, we got some food and drinks. The food was expensive (although this was expected). I did not expect the food to be burnt to a crisp and inedible. Almost every person’s order came out wrong. After receiving orders wrong the second time we took the food anyway. We were not given a discount. Our waitress repeatedly said that she had only been there six days, and was obviously not prepared. Many of the drinks other than beer tasted like water.
Since we were not able to eat much of our burnt and incorrect dinner, we got more appetizers at the bay. The pretzels and cheese fries were good tasting and warm.
I feel that I wasted my family’s night, and money on a place that does not have their things together. When I went to other locations, I had a great time. I expected this location to have some issues since they’ve only been open over a month but I did not expect this much of a catastrophe. I will return to other Topgolf locations, but it is apparent that this location...
Read moreMy company decided to use Top Golf Louisville as part of our yearly service meeting for a chance for all of our employees to unwind and relax. While the night began good it quickly spiraled into a horrible evening. With almost 50 people in attendance we expected to have several servers to help with our party. One server in particular kept telling all the others to not get her drinks, we suspect she was trying to collect all the tip money and not split it at the end of the night, which lead to really long wait times for drinks. We pre paid for the entire evening including our drinks, we were issued several tickets that we could use to redeem drinks for the evening. With all of the delays we didn’t get to use but maybe half of them. As we have used Top Golf before we assumed, like before, we could finish our 2 hour round of golf and then spend the rest of the evening on the terrace to have more drinks and order more food. That was not the case, about 40 minutes before our time was up we were informed once our 2 hour limit was up our drink vouchers that we already paid for expired we would not receive a refund. All of a sudden new rules starting coming out like only ordering one drink at a time and our food just suddenly was taken out and not replenished, mind you, we already paid for it. The servers also all disappeared as our time got closer for us to leave hindering our ability to order. After long discussions with the management team they very rudely started pushing us towards the exits leaving tons of full drinks on our tables. Now, most of my party was drinking but they all stayed very composed (I didn’t drink at all that night as I was driving) and stayed non confrontational. Once we left the table security showed up and stood next to our party till every person left the building. No one was being belligerent or disagreeable they were simply trying to finish the drinks we all had to order last second to avoid loosing any money. Top Golf over served several of my friends and co workers, the food was almost inedible and cold, and the staff were incredible impersonal and short. Maybe going by yourself this could be a good time but going as a group is a quick way to loose money. If you choose to do a group I would get everything in writing and have a few people not drinking alcohol so they can have a clear and relevant conversation. The staff only wanted to talk to people drinking alcohol, they will dodge the sober people as it’s easier to confuse someone that has been drinking and rip them off. While this may be a new establishment, Top Golf itself isn’t and is a very efficient and well organized company so to say “that’s our policy” or “we’re new and didn’t know” are not legible excuses. We spent in the upwards of $10,000 and we’re treated miserably. We did use Top Golf for this yearly event in every city we went to but after the way management spoke to my Senior Director last night, it’s pretty safe to say we will not use...
Read moreIf I could give this place a NO STAR I would. I have never written a negative review before but the service we received at the Louisville, Ky Topgolf was so awful people need to be aware! Our first experience ever with Topgolf was at the Louisville, Ky location. I reserved a TWO BAY PACKAGE+GAME PLAY+FOOD & BEVERAGE package for a 51st birthday party. The reservation process ran somewhat smoothly. I had to call several times to confirm a time and pay our deposit. We arrived about ten minutes early and were given our bay numbers at exactly 4:00 which is when our play time was suppose to begin. When we arrived at our bays the tables were dirty, the server was not present and no one showed us how to begin to play. We lost almost about 30 minutes of play time because there was no one available to explain the process. The place is new, I get it, we can let some things slide but we were not offered any extended play time. The service was decent once everything was situated. The food was edible but not great. It took a very long time to receive it and it was cold when it arrived. The mixed drinks were awful. About 30 minutes before our play time was complete the server asked for last call and began the check out process. She mentioned that she would have a manager come over and explain the check out process since we booked a package that had a set price for food, bays, and play time. We paid for half of the package price in advance and we were to pay the remainder at the end with any overages from the pre paid food total that was included in the package. They tried to over charge us almost $200 dollars explaining that alcohol was not included in the food+bev package when it plainly says on their website that alcohol is included. They also double charged us for every food item we ordered. I spoke with two VERY unprofessional managers that kept my credit card, ran it for the wrong amount, and I then had to find another manager to fix it. Worst experience I have ever had with an entertainment venue. Definitely not worth the 600 dollars we paid for less than two hours of hitting a golf ball while eating mediocre bar food with watered down drinks. Your first experience with Topgolf should NOT be the Louisville,...
