To start off, I don't write reviews. Ever. Here's 2 of them.
Short review: Excellent customer service, knowledgeable, punctual, thorough, attention to detail, and worked with us on existing equipment with upgrades.
What was done: Upgraded our home audio from Sonos since it never worked consistently. He was able to use our current speakers and receivers. Organized the rats nest of cords that was our living room, garage, and basement to give us only what we needed. Upgraded our home theater projector and center speakers while adjusting the remaining surround sound audio to now kick ass. Kept our current Blu Ray player, speaker receivers, and surround sound speakers. Made an incredible tower for our electronics that control the AV in our house. It was previously in a giant shelving unit. Upgraded our WiFi throughout the house. We now have no dead-zones and I'm thinking of going pro in Call of Duty since I no longer get lag. Was able to hide wires and our cable box (Xfinity) so that our living room only has the TV and remote. Super clean. Installed sensors that tie into the house that allows us to check if our garage doors are open without going outside or being home. We have 3 kids, they have garage door amnesia. Control 4. This is great. Super great. Google it or ask him about it. Sonos can suck it. Honestly, there are so many organizational things that he did regarding wiring, equipment, and ability to work everything in our house with 3 remotes and our phones, it's ridiculous. Probably more, can't even count everything that he did, but I appreciate them all.
Long review: Seths' customer service is beyond excellent, but any other words like fantastic, impeccable, or amazing would sound false. Quick responses to questions, listening to us as customers to find out exactly what we wanted / needed even though we weren't 100% sure ourselves. In every communication it was made apparent that it wasn't just a job he was doing for us, but something that he really enjoyed himself and wanted done right.
He is really knowledgeable in the fact that he researched products, costs, and function for what we wanted. If he didn't know the answer to the question he would do the research to find out more. He came up with multiple options for each item we needed or different set ups to decide on. He never pushed one item over the other, and if the cheaper piece of equipment would fit our needs, that's what we would go for and we've been happy with every choice so far.
We had checked with a few local AV people including Magnolia from Best Buy. We either didn't get the follow ups that we requested or they wanted to replace everything we had saying it wasn't going to work anymore. Seth took the time to go through our house with us, find out what we wanted to happen, told us he would do a detailed invoice, and most importantly, he actually followed up with a detailed invoice.
The attention to detail is great. Everything works as promised, and what didn't work right away, he made sure to get done exactly as he said he would. I can't say enough about how great everything looks (he's going to post pictures once we finish with some cabinetry).
Something that made a huge difference to us was that he worked with our existing equipment. He went through every piece (we thought we had to replace most everything after talking to other AV companies) and showed us that most of our equipment would work for our needs. He didn't try to up sell on anything and anything he thought we would need we would discuss and have a Q&A.

Read moreTimberline Audio Video has wonderful customer service! My TV was old and having some problems. I called them and they sent Austin out who suggested I needed a new TV. I knew it was probably time to get a new one and a couple of days later had two technicians, both named Drew, came out to install a new one. (I might add here that the price was reasonable.) Before each call someone from the company called to let me know when the technician(s) was coming out and they were always on time. There were a couple of issues which they handled patiently and thoroughly. Just before they left, I had a problem with the Roku platform. Since it was getting late, they suggested coming back the next day. Just one Drew showed up to finish up. He spent over an hour setting me up on Roku, making sure I was up to speed on how everything worked and assuring me if I had any problems I should call them. A week late everything is working fine. Larry, in the tech department even called me after a couple of days to make sure everything was in working order. We first used his expertise and service regarding the terrible system that was installed in our house by another company when we first built it. We called Seth to see what could be done and we're so glad we did! We're as naïve as they come with this stuff and it can all be somewhat overwhelming. He walked the entire house with us while providing options and recommendations. Once we agreed on the plan, he and his team worked tirelessly to perform a complete makeover of our system. It made such a difference! We just recently asked Seth to again help us in a different house and the results were the same leaving us completely satisfied.
