Update 7/25/25. The cinnamon is already out at the front of the store. Still no warning signs. My wife has asthma and cinnamon sets it off. We had to turn around and run home for a breathing treatment. Why do you have yo put it right at the front and refuse to put up warning signs? Roughly 2% of the population has spice allergies.
Update 2023: My wife is allergic to cinnamon. United without warning fills the entrances with cinnamon pinecone. My wife had no warning, no notice posted, and walked in today and instantly had an asthma attack. I had to take her to urgent care for a breathing treatment and a shot of something as she was having an analytic reaction. They lune the entrance of united eith these so it's not even like you can just avoid that part of the store. I have contacted United about this yearly as long as we have lived in lubbock, but I get no answer. Are any lawyers out there want to take this to cort for us? United doesn't seem to care as all emails about this have gone unanswered.
Had to change my review from 5 stars to one. Every fall, they put out the cinnamon pinecone. Every year, my wife, who is allergic to cinnamon, has to avoid united for all of fall and half of winter. We knew the one on 82nd, and Frankford already had theirs out, so she was careful of this one. She used the exit door as they like to bombard the entrance with cinnamon. This is the second episode in a week where she had to get home for a breathing treatment. Usually, if it happens that often, we wind up in the E.R. getting her help breathing. Why do they have to be right at the entrance of every store? Why is there no sign up? 2% of the world's population has a spice allergy. I'm going to start sending United my E.R. bills, and inhaler, and breathing treatment bills. Does anyone want to...
Read moreI bought coffee at the Starbucks inside the Market Street in Lubbock today. The nice Starbucks cashier asked me if I wanted to also pay for the two muffins I picked up from the aisle next to the Starbucks and I said sure. I paid for coffee and muffins ($1.69 each) using the Mobile App. and didn’t get a receipt. On the way out I remembered I needed to buy a box of sugar from the store so I picked a box up and went to the cash register. I asked the MS cashier to put the muffins in the bag because I was also carrying two cups of coffee and told her that I already paid for the two muffins. She asked if I had a receipt and I said I paid using the Starbucks app and didn’t get a receipt. The cashier said she needed to check with her manager, but the manager was busy and said she would try calling the Starbucks cashier which was a 30 second walk away. I got frustrated after waiting for a long time while my coffee was getting cold and finally suggested that they walk with me to the Starbucks cashier to check with him if I paid for the two $1.69 muffins. The rude manager kept on looking at me from behind the customer service counter and didn’t bother to move or call someone to help insisting that she needed to check that I paid for the muffins. I finally got one of the cashiers to walk with me and the Starbucks cashier immediately verified that I paid for the two muffins. I’m from a different part of the world and honestly feel I was discriminated against because of my tan skin color. People were staring at me like I was a thief during this time. Very disappointed to be treated like a petty thief during my visit to Lubbock to get my son settled in his dorm room at...
Read moreI have gotten my prescription from this pharmacy for several years... Their system went down recently on one of the days that I was sick and supposed to pick up an antibiotic... The rep was rude did not want to help... Thought it was important to yell out his name and spell it through the speaker very aggressively when I was going to complain about the way he was talking to us. I got out to complain and the pharmacy was superrrrr rude thankfully a front management came up when I made the complaint. What made the situation even more worse is when I got home and seen his name on my bag written in bold letters triple underlined...this was the absolute worst experience and service ever. Probably safe to say I will be moving pharmacies hopefully ... No one else has to experience this kind of mistreatment... Their systems went down that day... When I called back they couldn't even find me.... Then after she was finally able to find it... All the drama through the drive-thru... I believe his name was Juan. Not sure if I remember after he yelled it and then wrote it on my prescription... hopefully someone can help with customer service their but unfortunately I will spread the word on...
