I thought it was going to be an exciting day getting this new piece of furniture and delivered in the same day. Delivery guys were nice. After delivered and they left I noticed the wood chipped on the front right corner. Continuing to look I found another chip. I immediately called to let them know. The sales person that checked me out was unavailable to talk right then so I discussed it with another sales person. I was given three options. First, return it and take the one that was on the show room floor. I had already looked at this one and there were some scratches and rough wood spots on it and choose to go with a new, wrapped one. Second option is to having someone come to my house and repair the spots. Third option is to return it completely. I like this piece and really want it and don't care for any of those options. Just disappointed I paid for a new piece, delivered with these damaged spots. At least offer to refund the delivery fee. The reason I say this is because I walked around outside looking and found the chipped pieces of wood in my driveway. The courteous thing would have been tell me this happened and let me decide what to do instead of delivering and leaving. Not quite sure this is the place to shop and leave feeling good. I went here first looking for living room furniture and ended up finding the same sectional couch at a much lesser price at Home Furniture and they worked with me on the price paying it in full they gave me a discount price for that. Here every answer to my question was NO. There were no options in helping out the customer. Lastly, we arrived here at 9:49am. As I got out of my car I noticed the car next to me was running and there was a person sitting in it. We walked to the front door to find it locked and the sign stated they open at 10am. When 10am came up the person in the car next to me got out and proceeded to go unlock. Just being friendly and courteous why didn't he tell me they didn't open till then instead of letting us walk up there just to turn back around and come back and wait. I am a very observant person so my experience here and how I felt shopping here was not as successful as I would have hoped. Really disappointed no one even called me to begin with to make sure I was happy with it after the delivery or even the original sales person calling me back after hearing about my unhappiness...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE! I purchased a $1000 recliner and had it delivered to an empty apartment that I was not moving in to till the 15th of February. After moving in and sitting on the chair, I realized it was not made for someone as tall as me. It actually hurts my legs. I went back to Furnisg It and told them I wanted to buy a $1000 mattress and would like to trade recliners for one made for tall people. They stayed no, refused to let me trade. I called many other furniture companies and they all said that they let people return furniture. Here are a few I talked to, Gallery Furniture, Ashley, Lazyboy and Rooms To Go. I spoke to my lawyer and she said there is no law to compel them to let me trade. However, they should let me since all reputable furniture companies do. These people advertise that they care about people but they don't. I am now stuck with an expensive recliner I cant use and cant afford to buy another one. By the way, they also lost out on a $1000 sale for a mattress I was going to buy but didn't. They tried to blame their decision on Covid, but they do not put face masks on until a customer walks in, they let anyone sit on all the furniture to try out and they do not sanitize the furniture after someone touches it. By the way, you can't catch Covid from a recliner. I had the recliner, with me present, two days. I live alone, just got tested negative and have my certificate showing I received the vaccine. I am a 62 year old and will be stuck with this recliner that I can't sit in till the day I die. Very disappointed that a business would treat a senior or anyone this way. IN RESPONSE TO THE COMPANY'S RESPONSE- The company is lying. My apartment had no damage from water. I welcome you to come to my apartment and find any damage. I had the apartment for two days, not weeks and every furniture store I called offers 30 day return/exchange policy. Also, I have actually bought a new car, decided I didn't like it and returned it for another one. Just another example of a company that is greedy and doesn't care about their customers after...
Read moreBe careful! I went in there yesterday to look at sofa sets and a dining table set. I found 2 sets I liked. I came home and measured. I went to the website to browse before I called in case there was something better I might have missed. I came across the sofa set and table set each at a reduced price. I thought wow the price went down a lot since yesterday. I added the items to my cart then compared them to the pics I took yesterday and it was the exact ones the numbers matched perfect. They also are identical. I called Amanda and told her what I want and mentioned the online price I found. She told me they could only give me that price for the table. The sofa set was not the same one as in the store. I explained it is the numbers match and the picture is the same product. She was taken back that I had matched the numbers and said she would get back to me. They tried to tell me it is not the same and they are using a different manufacturer now so they just look alike. The matching numbers is just for them it doesn’t mean anything. While on the phone they fixed the website removing that sofa set entirely and also changed the dining room table set from 1999 to 2099. She said I will call the owner and get back with you. She called back and he said no because he would make no profit...
