Ghetto af. So many trashy, loud & obnoxious people everywhere. Basically just like 75% of the rest of Lynchburg. Witnessed a fight between two women with about 6 or 7 of their presumed friends watching, instigating, yelling & arguing with each other, and just being typically antagonistic. The fighting & arguing began to somewhat subside, but not before one of the women got their weave ripped right off her head. Unfortunately, this seems to be a common occurrence because almost every time I visit Lynchburg I witness altercations such as this & someone is always losing their weave...in the desert there are tumbleweeds but in Lynchburg there are tumbleweaves. I didn't stay there to see how it ended, but unsurprisingly I also got bothered by a toothless crackhead who walked up to my car asking for money. He looked like a Great Value version of Flavor-Flav & smelled like poop, body odor, Olde English, & welfare. This all happened in the short amount of time it took for me to walk out of the store, put a few bags in my trunk & get in my car. Leaving 2 stars instead of 1 because it's somewhat amusing to see street fights, especially when it involves weaves getting ripped out. Would've given 3 stars if there was less talk & more action because all that yelling was enough to...
Read moreThis is 1 of the oldest shopping centers in Lynchburg, like remember back when Hills department store was here as the anchor store? A lot of businesses have come and gone, but some of my favorites remain like Shoe Show, U Beauty Supply, and the coin laundromat. Koto's Japanese Steakhouse is still there, they just switched buildings to a remodeled space in the center this year. Koreanz BBQ and Moon Tea are still fairly new restaurant there and I highly recommend both. Moon Tea is within Koreanz. Gabes, Dollar Tree, and Dollar General are great places for bargain shopping. There's even an Ashley's Furniture store, a nail salon, and a few other locally owned businesses. Chestnut Hills is also conveniently located next to Krogers, Walgreens, CVS, McDonald's, Long John Silver's, and Klines ice cream and shakes. So if you dislike driving all over town, this shopping center is great for a closer to one-stop...
