DO NOT BUY ANYTJING FROM GRAND FURNITURE! THEY PLAY GAMES AND CHEAT YOU OUT OF WHAT IS OWED TO YOU AND JACK UP PRICES. PLEASE READ! We went in the Sunday of memorial day weekend to purchase a temporpedic bed. It was on sale, however because of covid to deliver inside the house they said it was a $99 fee and they wouldn't remove any other mattress and we had to take the long size mattress off the bed before they came. We both are injured so we needed to hire someone or find someone we knew who could do it. So I asked if they would be willing to take off the $99 delivery fee and the manager, Jennifer, said she did not have the authority to.do that. So we tried to.find someone who could do this for us before we purchased. It was to be delivered the following Saturday. We finally found someone to.do it for free and when Jennifer found out we found someone she miraculously was able to take off the $99 delivery charge. But it's not over. So Saturday comes and after a few calls because we hadn't heard anything they asked for the actual delivery number and said that it wasn't on the list because they didn't have our box springs and were not going to get them in until at least June 13 and then they would schedule. We contacted Jennifer, by the way this was the Lynchburg store, who said we were not scheduled for Saturday and didn't know where we got that from. Well, we got it.from her, the associate,. Michael,.we.worked with, and the.woman that took.pur payment! Jennifer insisted we were mistaken even though we spent over a half hour searching for someone who could help us with our existing mattresses before Saturday delivery and she knew we were doing that. Michael even offered to come help with another associate in his day off that week if we couldn't get anyone by Saturday. SO Jennifer said she would.call her boss to see what they could do for us. She called back saying they could give us $200 off or we could get a refund. $200 off a $4600 bed! We felt insulted so got a refund and went to Matress Warehouse where we found some very interesting news about the temperpedic memorial day sale. First the sale was standard for all temperpedics no matter where you bought it from! Temperpedic was paying for delivery charges to the companies and we were to get either $300 more off or two temperpedic pillows. We were also to get a free mattress protector required for.warranty purposes by temperpedic. And the.price.of the exact same bed was $4100 as opposed to $4600 and the prices are set by temperpedic across the board for their product and sale price! GRAND FURNITURE IN LYNCHBURG VIRGINIA AND I IMAGINE EVERYWHERE CHEATS ITS CUSTOMERS! I WILL NOT BUY ONE SINGLE THING FROM THEM EVER AGAIN! Read moreI am so disappointed by the treatment of the sales ladies here at Grand. My mother went in a couple of days ago and bought a sofa and two chairs but was told after she finalized her down payment she would need to come back in to finish something. My mom asked if she could send her daughter in, since she works long shifts during the week, and they told her yes. I was on the phone w her during this time so I know it was confirmed. I arrived today to finalize something (i assumed it was signing something but i wasn’t sure) and I was met with dismissive attitudes from both the lady helping me me and the lady (Tina I think her name is) sitting next to her. They both told me I couldn’t be the one to take care of anything since I wasn’t my mother. I tried to explain several times that we were told I could be the one to come in and finalize the payment and delivery. Throughout my interaction with the lady helping me , Tina continued to chime in and very rudely imply that my mom had lied, or that she had never said I could come in. It was as if they were implying my mom was dumb or didn’t know what she was talking about. The lady helping me insisted she couldn’t take my moms ID because my mom wasn’t there, but then proceeded to take my moms ID ???? They ended up going against everything they said and finalized the purchase and delivery (but continued to talk about my mother during it). I wouldn’t be bother by this if they had simply said I couldn’t do anything and I had left, the whole issue was their attitude and underhanded comments while I was sitting there. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. I went home to explain it to my mother and when my mom called Tina was very rude and talked very disrespectfully to my mom. Now my mother and I are trying to decide if we want to even keep the furniture because of the awful taste we have in our mouth, which is sad because we have been saving to buy this furniture for a while. Read moreIf zero stars was a choice, I would’ve chosen zero. Do not recommend! My husband and I were shopping here for a chair for our baby’s nursery. Salesman Mike presented us with some choices that included “a custom order that someone never picked up” and claimed that the chair was normally much more expensive than it was listed for, which is what the tag indicated. We agreed to purchase the chair, got entered into the system, scheduled delivery and paid in full. Received a text message the day after to confirm delivery date. Today, I receive a voicemail from Mike stating he can’t sell us the chair for that price as there was a mix up with the tag. He offered a “price reduction of 25%” in order for us to continue the purchase that we had already made which equated to over $500 more in price. My husband and I both expressed our displeasure with this offering and explained that we have already paid for the chair presented to us and had we decided against delivery, we would have already had the chair in our home. (Since I am 8 months pregnant, we thought the delivery was more convenient since I cannot help with lifting). The fact that they made a mistake is not something I feel is my problem to rectify, which I explained. Grand continued to only offer two options, to either pay the difference or have a refund issued. We opted for the refund option as it really felt like we had been misled into paying more for a chair we had already purchased. We are deeply disappointed in the customer service or lack there of and will not be purchasing from this company in the future.
