Lynn City Hall — Attraction in Lynn

Lynn is one of the most dangerous cities in Massachusetts. As I write this, there is a shooter at large and a shelter in place.

I live in between a middle school and a high school shootings are common but rarely reported on the news. Growing up the in this city has been a nightmare. Middle school means you have to fight for survival. Violence is normal. I’ve seen kids soccer kicked in the head repeatedly in the bathroom and convulse on the ground in middle school.

Teachers make fun of students regularly. From across the board middle school to high school teachers feel empowered to name call and attempt to humiliate kids seemingly for no reason.

Example: First day of school Teacher asked each student their birthday. At this point I’ve yet to ever have any interaction with her. She proceeded to say due to my zodiac I must be “ arrogant and hard headed” and moved me to the “punishment seat”. Ive witnessed her touch male students inappropriately and even comment about a student’s big body part around the midsection, (you can probably guess which) not at all what you would expect for an 11th grade English teacher.

Today I received a parking violation for an expired registration, a 100$ ticket. knowing that Lynn is a low income, poverty filled area, you would think maybe the city would have some leeway for a warning.

Lastly, do not move here if you have kids. The additional insurance cost will outweigh any money you believe you will save in rent or mortgage. It doesn’t make financial sense and your it will only hurt...

You know, I been at the same building, at the same parking lot for 11 years, always have my parking permit in the same spot... all of a sudden because the date was "hidden" I get a ticket? I know my vehicle has been seen by this exact worker from time to time, now the nice thing, the smart thing to do would be to WARN the person.... give me a warning starting it's hidden, give me the chance to move it up a little bit so u can see the year.... nope not this worker badge 227, you are not a fair person WHATSOEVER. Have a little decency to give someone a chance, if they cannot fulfill that chance they are obligated to fix... then by all means ticket till your ur hand hurts. You Meter workers or anyone giving out these tickets are ticket happy, not everyone can afford silly tickets like the 1 I was just given. Where's ur heart, or compassion? You know you can give warnings... start doing so. If it's a simple thing like mine was, give us a warning to change it, it was a simple mistake that did not need a ticket to pay money to a city who hands out tickets just cause they...

Lynn Public Schools is a despicable school administration that, two decades ago, forced me to attend alternative schools and classrooms against my parents' will, and for years at that. This was until my parents consulted an attorney to address that issue, affording me the opportunity to have a normal classroom regimen like everybody else.

Within that time, I was segregated from my regular peers and surrounded by people with concerning behavioral issues, some of whom went out of their way to bully me and even assault me throughout those years. Well into my adulthood, I am only just beginning to make a positive difference in overcoming the damage of self-worth Lynn Public Schools inflicted upon me, which I feel happened because of their unfaithfulness to their students, as well as their total incompetence (or malice). I personally vow to never send my children to any public school because of these unjust and traumatic experiences. Shame on the...
