this theater is usually a great one. my family and i have been coming here for as long as i could remember. however, this morning, i had a bad experience with a staff member.
a little backstory, my sister and I had tickets to see the Eras Tour film, and we were really excited about all the merchandise that was available at amc for all the swifties to enjoy. with as big of an artist as Taylor Swift is, we were worried about merchandise selling out. so yesterday, we called this theater and asked if we were able to buy the merchandise ahead of time. the employee on the phone said we wouldnât be able to purchase the merch until the day of our show. she said we can come in when they open with proof of our tickets and then we would be able to buy our stuff. we were thinking okay great, we can just go tomorrow before our show. we then asked her what time the theater opened and she told us 11:30 AM. the employee who we spoke to on the phone was very nice by the way. i didnât catch her name but she was very helpful.
so flash forward to today, we arrived at the theater around 12:30 and the doors were locked. there were also two gentlemen who were waiting outside as well and they seemed to be employees. my sister called the theater while we were waiting outside and no one answered. then, a lady who i assume was a manager, came walking out to let the two employees in. and my sister walked over to her to ask if they were open yet. my sister called out to her 3 times and the manager just kept backing into the door way and she locked it back up. then she opened it again and my sister asked if they were open yet and she tried to explain the situation and the manager kept rudely interrupting her. everything the manager said, was said with an unnecessary attitude that we didnât appreciate. she was saying things like âwell our CREW gets here early but we donât open until 1:30â and âfirst of all, you need to have a ticket for THIS location, do you guys even have that?â. overall, her attitude with us was unnecessary and we didnât appreciate it at all. we werenât trying to cause trouble, we were just going off of the information that another employee told us. iâm very disappointed with this interaction that i had today and i wish the staff would be nicer and more professional...
Read moreUpdate - Oct. 2017: Still a bit of a mess. Paid a premium to see Bladerunner in Imax. Waste of money. The screen was nice. The seats are original, uncomfortable and hard - especially for 3 hours of sitting. The bass was cranked too high and the grills or some metal piece was loose - the speakers rattled so bad that the vocal often could not be understood. The majority of the sound seemed to come from the lower right of the screen - it really sounded like half the sound system was dead so they mad up for it by setting the volume to 11.
From a year ago: At one time this was a fantastic cinema. 10 years ago it was a 5 star. The luster wore off this pearl years ago. I doubt they have put any money into the place since 2010. There was drywall damage between the bathrooms last July. Here it's almost March of the next year - damage is still there. The men's room stank. Literally.
The cushions in the seats are either paper thin or worn out. Very uncomfortable. Plus the whole place is permeated by the smell of stale popcorn.
I watched the 3D version of Star Wars. The screen is not well maintained - I don't know if it's old, dusty or what - but the screen was clearly visible, almost as an overlay on the image. In many scenes it looked like I was watching the 3D movie through a window screen. It really ruined the 3D effect.
The glasses provided are the smallest I have seen. They looked like children's sun glasses.
The employees would rather chat with each other than deal with customers. Happened to me when purchasing my tickets and later, popcorn. Finally the sound.
Only stereo, from behind the screen. Tinny, little bass, and what bass there was sounded like a blown speaker.
Cinemas are modernizing and updating, leaving this relic behind. Yes - it's clean. But that's lipstick on a pig. I won't be returning. I only went because I waited so long to see Star Wars and it's gone this week. Otherwise I would have watched it at...

I purchased tickets for Barbie movie on Wednesday 8/2/23 night for Thursday 8/4/23 at 9:30pm. When we arrived at movie theatre at 9:15pm for our 9:30pm movie low and behold that showing was cancelled. I was never notified of the cancellation and then when I tried to change tickets to the 9pm showing that had already begun 15min prior the manager Raquel came to assist with changing the tickets, Let me start by saying that Raquel was very rude and she just kept saying you should've received an email. I then pulled my email up for her and demonstrated that I had no email. The last email I had received was saying get excited your movie will be showing in a few hours. She was not accommodating at all she wasn't trying to help me out in anyway. She did say to me I can't let you in for free to the movie and I thought that was inappropriate especially since that isn't what I was asking her to do. I did explain that I had the money to pay for tickets again cause she stated I had been refunded for show but I had nothing stating that and all I asked from her was to give me something stating that I should be refunded for that show even if it was just something she wrote on a paper and she just kept saying "you should have an email if you don't it's not my fault." At this point I was done so I took my upset children elsewhere. I hope you can understand my frustration. Its not like I only purchased 1 ticket I purchased 7. I will not be attending AMC anymore especially if this is the treatment your customers get. Sorry! This behavior was unacceptable.
