Target — Local services in Lyons Township

I went today to get a new album that came out last night. I made sure they were in stock online. It even gave me the option to do store pickup in 2 hours. When I reached the album section and saw there were no copies out, I ask the employee who was in the section if he would be able to help me find some copies. He literary looked at me and said ‘No I don’t have time for that. Try going to another store…. Do you see all these aisles, I’m the only one working them. I don’t have time for this.’ I was so thrown off that I just stood there. He must have seen I wasn’t moving cause he took out his inventory checker thing and asked me what I’m looking for. Then he showed me that they’re available at different stores and even was telling me how far each is. While he was doing that I noticed on his device that they are in stock at his location, so I asked ‘are there any here’. He replied with ‘No, you have to go to another store.’ I didn’t know what to do so I walked away and waited for someone else to show up. When I caught someone else they told me they can totally call over the guy from the department to help me. At which point I told him what happened and after his initial shock, he told me he can help me. He was very nice and went to check on my items in the back. Honestly even when people lie and say ‘let me check’ and come back seconds later saying they couldn’t find it, is not as offensive as literary being told I don’t have time for you. I understand he was an older guy, looked around my grandpa’s age, and he must have been overwhelmed, but seriously, how can you tell customers that you don’t have time for them and to just go to a different store. Target in LaGrange, IL, is an absolute shopping haven! This store consistently exceeds my expectations, and I can't help but sing its praises.

I was at target last night with my family around 7:30-8PM. We were only purchasing a single pack of diapers since we ran out in my car. We waited in self checkout behind 2-3 people and they decided to close down self checkout. My 2 year old daughter was getting fussy and started yelling so we asked the younger lady if she could possibly squeeze us in since we only had one thing. She flat out told us to go to the only register open. There was 1 register open with an old lady that clearly didn’t know what she was doing on the register and delayed every single customer. The other employees were standing around like idiots just watching the checkout line go past the self checkout area and into the other parts of the store. Everyone around me was cursing up a storm about how shitty Target was last night. After about 10 minutes they finally opened up another register. By recent reviews, you can definitely see Target in Hodgkins has gone way downhill. They clearly need to hire more competent workers who actually know how to run a register & grocery store in general. I will definitely be going to Walmart from now on.
