Mind Bender is probably the most well rounded ride at SFOG. It has a low height requirement and only has two loops. It has intense moments, but the pacing is steady so this ride will not overwhelm young ones or coaster novices. The ride is old so it's reliable and will rarely break down, and the trains are secure while only having lap bars. The ride is smooth and comfortable.
With that being said, if you prefer thrilling coasters Mind Bender is just as thrilling as the other big rides at the park, and it's my personal favorite. The two loops pull high g forces and are very smooth, and the diving helix in the middle of the ride is very intense, swooping down over the water. If you sit near the front or back of the train you can get airtime too. In the front you'll get big pops of air when you crest hills in 3 key moments, and in the back you'll get airtime over the 3 major drops.
Mind Bender is not a particularly fast paced ride. But it's a terrain coaster, so it goes further down the hill as the ride goes on. As a result the 3 drops and two loops are of about equal size, so the ride's intensity and pacing doesn't dwindle like other rides. What that makes is a ride that always feels like it's in the fast beginning part of the ride that never has any boring moments. The terrain layout also means the ride has a pretty location, going over water and through the trees with pine needles all over the ground.
Mind Bender even has a photo section now, which wasn't there before, and it's currently undergoing extensive maintenance to extend its lifespan. Rest assured this classic ride is worth keeping around and the park agrees with me, and it'll continue being loved by guests and Six Flags alike for as long...
ย ย ย Read moreThe Riddler Mindbender is a solid and enjoyable roller coaster. The drops and two loops are quite fun. It's also nothing too intense, so it's good for more intermediate coaster riders. There are some cons though. Given that this is an extremely old ride, there are some parts that are very rough. Especially the brake run. The theming is also pretty lackluster. They basically just put some question marks up on the station. But the scenery is cool. The trees have grown in nicely around it and it's right next to Batman: The Ride. Overall, this is a fun, albeit slightly basic roller coaster.

ย ย ย Read moreThis coaster is a fun one. The two vertical loops are very forceful, and the downward dive is also a great element of the ride. The only reason this is not getting 5 stars is because of the recent refurbishment that happened. While it's great that this old ride is still getting attention from the park, the older trains were swapped out for shorter, lighter ones which makes some parts of the ride slower than before. The trim brakes are also hitting hard, harder than they ever did before the refurbishment. Overall though still a great ride, and I would recommend this to...
