Nice little area in the middle of town, which has a bridge over one of the falls and gives a nice view of the second, main fall. There is also a "love locks" fence in front of the view of the main drop. Finding the parking area can be a little tricky if you're not familiar with the area.

For a small community park, this property packs a punch! Beautiful well maintained park and grounds that spans both sides of the river and falls. Great place to relax and enjoy the bay and downtown Machias. There is a small gazebo, picnic tables and 1 portable toilet, no other amenities.

Such a great place to visit. Very beautiful and such great history. Machias is native american for bad little falls and it is so cool to see the falls in the spring time when they are running very hard. The sound of the falls is so great. You can see the buildings of the city around the river. Breath taking views. I highly recommend you taking time out of your day just to park the car, get out and explore a little...

If the serious meth problems of Washington County had a metaphor come to life, this park may well be it.

It's health is in clear decline. The teeth are yellowing and beginning to fall out in places. The hair is thinning on top and the eyes have begun to take on that recessed, sallow look. This place needs Re-hab, badly, before...
