A visit to Burnham Tavern is like a mini-Williamsburg experience! Expect to be greeted and tour with a docent dressed in period costume and full of scholarly, local history, anecdotes and tips. I kept reminding myself, "OMG - this is ACTUALLY where American history took place! OMG - right here in THIS tavern!"

The Burnham Tavern is rich in Revolutionary War history and in it's knowledgable staff. The town is quaint and easily traveled on foot.

It's a great stop for families traveling up the scenic Route 1 through coastal Maine. There is room to park, get out stretch your legs and walk the through Bad Little Falls Park while...
