Carolyn Crayton Park — Attraction in Macon

We went for the Pinkest Party in the World 🌎 the Macon, Georgia Cherry Blossom 🌸 Festival. We went on opening day and got to see the Governor speak and them present the Royalty. They not only sang our National Anthem but the Mexican, Japanese,and Taiwan National Anthems. The ladies that sang them Nailed it, they didn't try to show boat or out do one another. They had rides and food and the grounds and facilities were clean and well kept. It was nice to be there for the opening day because there were no lines for rides or food. It was like everything was open just for us! If you don't know the Cherry Blossom Festival is to celebrate the blooming of 350,000 yoshino cherry trees in Macon, Georgia. It’s ok for a large gathering and cookout but it’s in need of bathroom upgrades,the koi pond need reconstruction, need doggy clean up bag stations w/ trash cans and of course trash bins for visitor’s debris. Better lighting that automatically turns on at dawn with LED bulbs. The children’s playground is nice, but please add swings and include swings for children with disabilities. Other than those things, it’s good for large gatherings… oh yea, there are beautiful, huge magnolia trees for shade… even mulberry trees! I’ve heard that the other area of the park may be different, but I didn’t visit that area this trip.
