I tried for over ten months to settle an issue with a very prominent company in its respective industry. A gift that was given to my daughter for Christmas just a week prior to Christmas had an issue and so it was returned under warranty in mid December 2019! After three months I attempted to make contact and could never talk to a human being, this pattern continued all the way into July of 2020! Finally through this companies online message service in customer service I got a person who tied me up for thirty minutes only to respond with "we have no ETA at this time"! I was so upset! In September of 2020 I filed a BBB complaint having exhausted every avenue short of going to court which would have cost more than the item that was sent! Literally within nine days the company contacted me and within two weeks of that contact a new item was shipped to me no questions asked! I wish I had used the BBB form the beginning! Lesson learned! The BBB was a huge part of getting a resolution and I have no doubt that I would probably be waiting an indefinite amount of time with no clarity or resolution if the BBB had not intervened! I have nothing but great gratitude to the BBB for helping me with this problem and I will consider the BBB in the future if I ever have an issue with any company that fails to stand up to there customer satisfaction promises! Read moreI had a problem with Surclean restoration company in Ga. I had water damage and they are charging me nearly $10,000 of work they did not preform. They are similar complaints to my about Surclean not honoring of what they advertise saying they will pack and move your contents to storage. But then they will still charge you for the work even though. Surclean tells you have to find movers they will not move your contents. Even though their employees tell you they do and even put it in their pamphlet. But the BBB says they made a good faith effort to resolve my complaint. I even told them I have housecams that recorded what their employees brought in my house. I have a drive way cam and a door bell camera. They still lie. Then Surclean says they dismissed themselves. Even though I said in my complaint that I dismissed them because they weren't going to pack or move my contents. Surclean is a very shady company. Read moreAs a 92 year old Korean War veteran, I was at my wit's end with a KIA auto dealer in Central Georgia for denying a Veteran's rebate on a new car I had purchased in December, 2021. After countless emails with several different personnel at the dealership, I finally gave up and decided to take legal action. In researching the various avenues I might take, I saw that I should first try to resolve the issue through the Better Business Bureau. That was the best decision I could have made. I submitted my complaint about the dealership to the Central Georgia branch of the BBB and was immediately contacted and advised on how to proceed. Long story short, my complaint finally can to the attention of a senior level individual and he immediately resolved the issue by firing the manager who had handled my case, sending a check for the full amount of the rebate and sincerely apologizing to me for the way I was treated.
