I don't know why the case, however, they have a manhole cover towards the street side of the beach that, presumably at times, is completely covered in sand and hardly marked. I emailed the town to address it and they said they'd take action; what action is unsure. There is a small marker a few feet away and entirely ambiguous. The beach and facilities are quality. There is a child and toddler swing set. A nice bench with a coyote on a leash. A lifeguard outlook for photo ops. Bring your own trash bags and dispose of your refuse. You'll have a good time at Esther! Just uncover that manhole and don't be like me, running right into it barefoot. That hurt so bad. Photo taken a fortnight after the incident.

It is quiet and has a nice sandy area but the water is EXTREMELY weedy and it is not good for swimming. The first 4ft you have to walk through a bunch of weeds and as you go out it doesn't get any better. The bathrooms are nice and you have a nice view of the capitol but if you're looking for a nice swim spot this is NOT the place

Small but functional beach area with nice restrooms and drinking fountain with water bottle filling station. Good place to put in kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, etc. Be careful where you step...there are lots of geese so lots of goose poo everywhere. Some parking but not a lot. Great views of downtown Madison from here.

Each beach, I believe it's as good as it is clean. At this time, it was cleaner than schluter by a landslide and actually had no weeds and murk in the water or dead fish all over the shore, which was nice. Sand was clean. But this can change by the week or month. Shallow water is rocky. As most swim areas and beaches in msn are small, this swim area is among...

This was a nice little beach, wasn't very populated so we had most of it to ourselves. The ducks have "left their mark" all over the sand, so I would recommend bringing a shovel if you plan on playing in the sand for a quick "zone clean up". Water is murky at the shore but is actually decent sand a little bit out. Overall had a pleasant time, and so did...
