Went here with my son, daughter-in-law, and 4 year old grandson before a Badger hockey game on a recommendation from my son's friend. Got there around 4:00 and were seated right away. Waiter, Markus, greeted us, took our drink order, and gave us menus. When he returned, we ordered a chicken dinner, chicken strips for the big kid, blank n blue burger (well done), and a kids mac n cheese. We also ordered cheese curds. Wait time for our meal was a typical wait. When we got our cheese curds, they were crispy to the point of being quite hard. We had to break them open for my grandson to eat the cheese. That should've been an omen. (Note: our cheese curds looked no where near as good as the photos in other reviews posted here. They were twice as dark). When our meals arrived, all of the main items were very over cooked. My chicken strips are coated with panko crumbs so I knew it would be crispy. The chicken, however was very dry with the narrower ends inedible. You couldn't cut thru them. The chicken thighs on the dinner order were very dark. the meat had a bit of juice near the very center. The rest was dry and hard. The burger, while ordered well done, was beyond that. It was a dried to almost a crisp with no moisture to it. Not only that, but it was missing onions. The kids mac n cheese came with big noodles which was an interesting twist. They probably would've been good if they'd had any type of cheesy sauce on them. These looked like they'd been rolled in a pan with a minimum of cheese and then put into a bowl. For a kid, there should be a good bit of cheese sauce with the noodles. These had none. The whole meal seemed to be an indication of either over cooking or not having a deep fryer timer set correctly. If we'd had time to send all back and reorder, we would've but needed to make a 6:00 game time. We won't be back and my son will be letting the friend know about it. Haven't been this disappointed in a dining experience in a long time; if ever.
While in Madison for an event we stumbled upon this amazing little eatery! The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, the service was top notch and the food was absolutely amazing! Locally raised grass fed beef was a big deal for us, so seeing that on the menu reassured me that we had made a good choice stopping to eat here. The waitress made an appetizer suggestion of the goat cheese, when she said she doesn't usually like goat cheese, but loves this, that caught my attention, because I don't like it either, so of course we had to order it. She was sooo right, it was absolutely delightful, I will order this every time I come! This visit I had their version of the patty melt and a salad and it was all very good. That day they had a chocolate peppermint cheesecake on the menu, and since cheesecake is my weakness, I of course had to try that too. It was very good and obviously homemade. It had layers of chocolate cake between the peppermint cheesecake layers and it was truly divine. Definitely enough for 2 people to share! Later that evening we actually ended up going back for dinner with some friends and this time I tried the battered chicken thighs which are butterflied and boneless. They were the best chicken thighs I've ever had, the breading was perfect and the meat was of good quality. I had the loaded mashed potatoes on the side, and those were very flavorful and well made as well. We live about 2 hours away, but I've told many people about this place and will definitely go back again when we are in the area! I highly recommend Off Broadway...

My Fiancé and I sat at the bar and there were two bartenders. One bartender asked a guest next to us if he needed anything and didn’t even look our way when we sat down even though we were sitting right next to him. We had to ask the bartenders for a drink. Both bartenders were completely wrapped up in their own conversations and cleaning glasses versus being attentive to patrons needs. There were only two other couples at the bar besides ourselves and the place was not busy. We were not asked if our food tasted ok or if there was anything else we needed. Luckily the food was great, but very disappointed in the service. The person in the kitchen was the one that brought out our food not the actual bartenders. We had to ask for our drinks to be refilled. We had to ask for a to go box and the one bartender went in the back, was gone for a while and came back with bottles of booze to restock instead of our box. Asked her again for the to go box. Didn’t say, my fault just looked annoyed. Asked the other bartender for our check, went to the computer sitting right next to us, then continued to clean the glasses, asked her again.
We didn’t feel welcomed into their establishment and very disappointed. We will...
