Veterans Memorial Coliseum | “The Great Dane” — Attraction in Madison

The arena is in serious need of replacement. Everything in this building from floor to ceiling is at least 20 years obsolete.

A lot of acts will no longer come to the arena because it doesn't meet the requirements for equipment loading, equipment support, artists amenities, the audio and acoustics are absolutely horrendous.

Even the property surrounding the arena is obsolete. The parking lot is crumbling with grass growing between the cracks.

The arena and surrounding property is an absolute embarrassment for a town our size, even ho-dunk towns in Iowa have better facilities than Madison

I will personally avoid going to events at the Allient Energy Center, or whatever you want to call it because the money I'll pay for the experience is...

This place is such a dump. Went to see John Mulaney last night. Our seats had old beer and Monster cans all around them. Did you even clean the place after the last event? The beer selection was terrible, and the line was so long, people were standing in the venue, on the stairs, so people trying to find their seats couldn’t get through. It was an unplugged event and all of our phones were locked up, but is there one single clock anywhere in the Coliseum? Nope! No clue how much time you have to find the nearest restroom before the show starts. Getting out of the parking lot was atrocious. No direction anywhere. Went to a show at the end of January so it was cold outside. They had only two entrances open. We stood in line for over an hour because it was taking so long. Get to the door and security barely checks you. So why so long?? The pit sucks if your even a little short. The stage isn't high enough to see and there is no incline to help. Leaving the venue is atrocious. We sat in the parking lot forever. Like I get there was alot of people but really no cops guiding traffic? I've been to venues in Milwaukee, Chicago, St Louis, to Bloomington IL and I've never had an awful experience like this. Madison needs to get it together. Your the state Capitol...
