If I could give zero stars I would. Came in to get my speakers replaced. Had an appointment for 3pm they didn’t start until 4pm then took till 7:30pm to replace 3 speakers. As I was waiting I watched 3 people come in complaining about their tints, one person had wires melting the plastic in his car. It was dark out when they finished the job but everything seemed in order. I tipped the kid who worked on my car $10 and left enjoying my new speakers. 3 hours later the radio just cut off… no power…. The next morning I looked at the interior panels and all the pieces they took out to install the speakers was broken. They must’ve broke at least 7 piece of plastic in my car. The kid used an impact gun to screw in pieces and cracked the door panel. I called them and brought it in to complain and have them fix the issue with the power. They were extremely rude and unprofessional. The manager tried to tell me it was my fault that the fuse blew. It was their fault, while I was waiting I was informed that they didn’t have the speakers they were going to install which were 250watt 6.5 inch speakers that were rated for my deck… so instead they were going to “upgrade” them to pioneer 350 watt 6.5 inch. If I had an amp this choice would have been excellent but I don’t and that’s why the fuse blew. So the final answer I got out of them was that it was my fault and they weren’t going to fix it, so I sat in their parking lot and fixed it my god damn self. Replaced the fuse and reattached all the wires. I needed 2 wire connectors to complete the job so I asked the manager kindly if he could at least give me 2 wire connectors and he said he doesn’t have any … lol they install radios all day long and have no connectors? EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCOUNTABLE. I SHOULD HAVE WENT TO PARKWAY SOUND IN EVERETT… they always do good work. Do not go here if you want a “pro” job done...
Read moreGot a Viofo A139 Pro 3 channel dash cam installed from them last week. The mobile app for the camera cannot find the camera WiFi since I came back from their workshop. Due to this I don't have access to any video and don't even know whether it is recording. The installation seems faulty as my vehicle seems to be acting weird after this. One time my engine didn't start and I had to try multiple times. Another time my car lock from my key fob didn't work and also my unlock doesn't work at times. I certainly don't think that this is a general car issue as my vehicle is not that old(5 months) and I never faced this before I got the dash came installed. Also the interior camera was installed more towards the passenger side which doesn't give complete images for the driver side. Reason given for this was that the rear view mirror plastic part also covers part of the front windshield and hence the camera couldn't be fitted there. From a consumer viewpoint I think this information if given beforehand would place one in a better position to decide whether to buy the product. I got to know this when I saw the interior camera view during installation.
I got on the phone with them yesterday and tried troubleshooting however that didn't help resolve the issue. They asked me to come over to their workshop to get the issue checked. Will update once I have more information
Update- Not sure what happened but everything started working all of a sudden the day I had planned to go to their workshop. Called them and updated them that the issue was resolved. Marcus from their team was cordial and promised support in case it was also needed later. Have waited 2-3 days since then and it still has been working fine. Updating the rating as it works fine now without me having...
Read moreI’ve been wanting a backup camera for my car for a while now. Sure, I could go out and buy a new car with that feature, but who wants to deal with car payments? A much more cost-effective solution was to install a backup camera and a video monitor. I researched what the big-box stores had to offer, but I wasn’t impressed with their wireless or license plate-mounted options. (Quick tip: Some plate-mounted cameras can obstruct part of your license plate, like the state name or motto, which could technically get you pulled over for plate obstruction!)
I wanted something that looked factory-installed, not like an aftermarket add-on, and Pro Car Sound and Security in Malden delivered exactly that. I stopped by after work on a Friday, and the place was buzzing like a club—people were coming and going non-stop. Clearly, this is the spot in Malden.
As soon as I walked in, they took care of me immediately. The staff was super friendly and kept offering snacks and drinks from their well-stocked snack station. The bathroom was spotless, and there was plenty of seating. Plus, their shop had all kinds of cool gadgets to check out while I waited.
If my wife decides to get a backup camera installed, we’ll definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend Pro Car Sound and Security for anyone looking for professional, factory-quality...
