My son is buried at Holy Cross , in the âBabylandâ section(St. Anthony/St.Clement)âŚnow all that stands are small rocks or ornaments are left for himâŚif they survive a few days itâs a miracle, his name plaque was stolen, anything else was either thrown away by the cemetery keepers or anyone who was disgraceful enough to do something so sinful with a childâs or anyoneâs place where they were laid to restâŚitâs either one way where thereâs no sign of any of keepsakes that were left on someone's plot in remembrance of them or there's an abundance of random items left on grave sites which draws a lot of negative attention and lacks respectable and organization which results in most of our graves being left bare. These items end up all over the place and honestly it's a shame that every time I go to visit i end up feeling disappointed that the one place we have to remember the people who have passed away is a place we donât feel safe leaving small mementos or keepsakes is because tragically they might be stolen by whoever would do such a disgraceful act or thrown away by the people responsible for the upkeep of the cemetery. Everyone deserves to have a place in remembrance of their loved ones, but there has to be a better way of doing things with regards to there being a system in which everyone is expected to do the same things without it creating...
Read moreMy Granmother's entire family is buried here. The grounds are beautiful BUT DO NOT EXPECT KIND OR FRIENDLY PEOPLE TO BE THERE TO HELP YOU OR GUIDE YOU!!!! I went into the Sales/Counselor office looking for information and was treated VERY RUDELY by the TALL, THIN OLDER LADY WITH LONG HAIR. The gentleman in the office was very nice and helpful though, but she knew she was being cold and dismissive and had the audacity to ask me if she had been rude, knowing that she had been. She even told me to go look up the information I needed on the internet and waived her hand as if to say " and out with you".... It was the WORST experience I have EVER had to deal with when trying to settle a recently departed family members request. She even challenged me on whether or not I was a relative of my own grandmother!! Other than the horrid experience with her, the grounds...
Read moreFinding graves in an older section can sometimes be an issue, but the mapping system is horrible. Office was very helpful in looking up address for the names, but not sure if what is recorded is actual, as I could only find 3 out of 4 graves. Even the grounds keepers who attempted to assist were confused. Head grounds keeper even argued with me stating I was on the wrong street - to which I pointed to the map and the street signs & Chapel Hill as reference to which street we were actually standing on & he STILL said I was wrong. He kept blaming the people in the office for giving me bad information. My guess is the information is accurate, but the mapping & layout information really needs to be improved upon. Unless you are VERY lucky, don't expect to find a location without a LOT of searching & even then, you might be...
