I don't know if older kids would enjoy this waterpark, but our 4yo twins had a blast. It was perfect for them and they loved that they were tall enough to be in every pool. The main play area is 1ft deep with the zero entry baby side being much more shallow. The lazy river and the obstacle course were 3ft deep. To ride in the lazy river, kids have to be 43" or taller. There's a little measuring stand before you enter the river, but I never saw the lifeguards check or enforce this rule. My kids loved the obstacle course and because they weren't quite capable of guiding themselves on the rope, we were allowed to jump into the pool to help guide them along the obstacles. We went early on a Sunday not long after opening, and it was wonderfully empty until about 1pm. We easily found chairs and a nice shady spot under a huge umbrella to set up camp. When we left around 330 it was pretty crowded (LOTS of birthday parties) and we noticed the parking lot was beyond capacity with many cars parked on the side of the road and in the grass despite the no parking signs. In the morning and early afternoon, there was a little food truck trailer outside selling food and drinks, but we didn't see it when we left. We didn't realize beforehand that you could bring coolers into the park, but as they don't sell concessions, bringing your own provisions is a must. The only other downside to Signal Bay is that the bathrooms weren't very well-maintained throughout the day. During the hourly lifeguard breaks, they do clean up the pool and water, but it doesn't seem like they address the bathrooms. Overall, if you have little kids, especially kids who aren't quite ready for big waterpark slides, this is the perfect waterpark! It's a couple steps up from a splashpad, but not a full-blown park with water slides - and the admission price reflects that. Our kids loved that they could explore independent of us and us parents appreciated that there were lifeguards that acted as extra sets of eyes.

This is really a water park for kids. There is just a shallow area with small slides and a jungle gym, plus a lazy river. It's nothing near as much or as big as Atlantis or Splashdown. That said, I came with kids and they had a great time. Just don't expect big slides or deep water for the grownups. Adults can ride an inner tube around the lazy river and that's pretty much it. Since I'm a lazy person, that was about right for me. We tried to play on the playground after, but it was all graffitied and cordoned off. Not sure if they have plans for that, but it looked terrible as it was. ETA: forgot I hadn't liked this place and came again. I swear it should be called "leave your children unattended water park" because they make it so impossible to watch multiple children. The lazy river and the kiddie pool are separated such that it is completely impossible to keep an eye on people in both places. 45 bucks and I have two children with meltdowns after literally 15 minutes. Hope I remember next time how poorly set up it is. Again, probably would be fine for toddlers if there's nobody bigger who would like to be in water that's more than knee deep.

Very nice place to take the kids on a hot day. There is no food for sale but you are allowed to bring food from outside. There isn’t a big swimming pool, only a nice lazy river. This place is great for families with your kids. There is a nice playground outside the pool are where you can take the kids to play. Also around the parking lot there are a few grill with tables where you can have a nice cookout after the pool.

We have visited this waterpark for years, including hosting one birthday party.

Pros:

The water is a great depth for the smaller crowd! There's just enough to do with littles and the kids always have a great time. There's almost always a Certifikid coupon available as well which makes it even more affordable.

Cons:

Food. Not being able to eat with the confines of the water area. It may seem small but having to march small children out to the picnic tables for a simple snack during water break is a pain. I was told it's because there's no trash cans but that seems to be a simple enough fix.

Big kids. I understand that siblings come with the territory however it's up to parents to enforce good manners when visiting SB. So often on the crowded summer days there are older children present running, chasing, knocking into adults and preschoolers. It's more of a safety concern than an annoyance, to be honest.

We hosted our oldest's birthday party here one year and it was one of the easiest and most enjoyable parties yet! They took care of the pizza, refrigerated our cake for us, and everyone really had a good time!

Bottom line: Our family does really enjoy coming to Signal Bay and we hope they update their policy re: snacks and also monitor big kids playing rough a little more closely. If those things were resolved it would be 5 stars...
