Bamboo Bob, LLC. — Attraction in Mansfield Township

I bought my first home in April, and unfortunately, my backyard came with a substantial bamboo problem that was also encroaching on my neighbor's property.

After contacting several companies, I chose Bamboo Bob. Their team was incredibly knowledgeable and responsive from the start. I especially want to compliment Mia for being absolutely amazing—she was always so timely and professional.

The actual removal took place in mid-June. It was an extremely hot day, yet the crew worked diligently from morning until evening, clearing all the bamboo from both my and my neighbor's property. I was particularly grateful for their attention to detail, as they were careful to keep all our sprinklers intact.

It is now the end of September, and I can only say that there is absolutely no doubt in my mind of Bamboo Bob's quality of service. After my neighbor and I reached out about a few straggler shoots, the Bamboo Bob crew stopped by a couple more times and kept true to their lifetime guarantee and promise. We suddenly found the rustic acreage behind our house invaded by a new neighbor, a 2,000 square foot, 14 foot tall cellular phone equipment compound located immediately beyond our back property line. It is ugly beyond belief on an adjacent parcel that we don’t control, ruining the look of the semi-wooded land behind our house.

A landscape architect we consulted suggested planting bamboo to block the view. We found Bamboo Bob’s website and made arrangements for him to see the site. Once we agreed on a price, he and his crew were here the next week. They installed 75 linear feet of screening; 25 bamboo plants, 15 to 20 feet tall. Each root ball planted has multiple stems. We didn’t use containment barriers because we want the new plants to multiply into a thick, opaque grove and the location is far behind our house.

Our view was improved from the day the plants went in. As Bob instructed, we watered with soaker hoses regularly until the weather turned freezing. The plants look healthy and we hope they will continue to grow taller and send up new screening shoots this spring (2023) and in coming years further blocking our view of the intruding equipment and its security fencing.
