Shawn's Quality Meats & Smokehouse — Attraction in Maple Valley

Editing to give Shawn's five stars - they deserve it. Never had a bad meal from them.

Great customer service, which is what you would expect with a locally owned business. Everything in the cases always looks superb - I'm getting hungry right now looking at the pictures! Their meat is so fresh and delicious and better quality than can be purchased at your regular grocery store (Safeway, QFC, Fred Meyer, etc.)

They sell only Painted Hills beef, which is very high quality. My husband and I sometime stop by to grab a couple of fresh hamburger patties to grill. Best burgers ever, hands down!

My husband also loves their pepperoni. They have a nice variety of flavors - regular, jalapeno and cheddar, and if I remember correctly, we may have purchased some buffalo pepperoni at one point.

They have a great selection of other items too - bacon, chicken, pork (chops or loin), fish, sauces, rubs, you name it.

I've found that I pay a bit more than at Fred Meyer - which is why four stars instead of five - but you do get what...

We are BIG FANS of Shawn's Meats, and we go there often. Everything that we've gotten is top quality. Last Thanksgiving, we bought a Smoked Turkey. Oh, my goodness ~ it was NOT dried out a bit, and was moist, flavorful, and delicious. We were VERY impressed that after it was smoked, Shawn and his team carefully wrapped the turkey in a heavy-duty plastic bag, and fastened it tightly, then placed it in a box, and labeled it with the weight and cooking instructions. As we followed them, we were amazed at the PERFECT RESULTS! Everyone LOVED the flavorful, tender turkey, and as we shared the leftovers, it was soon GONE! I called to THANK them, and was lucky that Shawn himself answered the phone. I was delighted that I got to thank him personally, for his shop's TOP QUALITY smoked turkey, and for ALL of his fantastic meat products. Shawn's Meats...

Walk into this place and remember what it's like to support small businesses that do one thing and do it amazing. All the employees here are friendly and knowledgeable and want to help you make your meals awesome. Shawn is great business owner and very involved in the community. Additionally this place carries largely locally farmed meat products. Or at the very least they carry products that have a good reputation and the end for how the animal was treated and butchered.
